Tom's POV
What is she thinking? Why is she heading back to her village? Is she trying to get killed? I saw Courtney stop at a nearby tree. I flew down by her and tapped her shoulder causing her to jump? She turned to look at me.
"Gosh darn it Tom! Don't sneak up on me like that." I said and turned back around.
"Sorry, but what are you doing out here?"
"Don't you recognize this place?"
"Yes. I know it's your old village but why are you here?"
"Go back to the castle Tom. I can handle this."
"Handle what?"
"It's payback time. I'm going to make the guards and the royal family pay for how they treated my village." I said
"Are you crazy? You are going to get yourself killed!"
"Do you expect me to do nothing?"
"No, but we should at least think of a plan. Don't go in blind. You will get killed and I will never hear the end of it from Bill."
"Fine but I don't want to wait long. The sooner we think of something the better."
"Okay give us two days, three at most. Let's talk to Bill and my mother. Now let's go."
"Fine." Courtney said but as we were about to leave we heard a scream.
Courtney glanced back and saw someone getting beaten by a guard. I could tell she wanted to do something but I stopped her.
"We need a plan first. Let's go." I could see my sister in law's reluctance, but she nodded and we flew back. Once we were back at the castle, she just walked away from me. I sighed and headed to my mother's chambers."
"Mother? We need to talk." I said after I knocked and she allowed me to enter."
"Of course. What about?"
"Courtney."
