Chapter 13

It's been two months since Bill and I had arrived at his mother's castle. She is a lovely woman and I can tell where Bill gets his personality from. Tom and Gordon on the other hand I have been trying to avoid. I'm due soon. I'm 6 months pregnant and the twins will be coming soon. Bill and I still have not decided on names but he has been working on the nursery and I can't wait to see it. I was out in the beautiful garden that Bill's mother had. The flowers were beautiful and the fountain she had was absolutely gorgeous. I was sitting down by the fountain reading a book when it was pulled out of my hands.
"Hey what the hell?!" I yelled in annoyance but then looked up to see Tom. My faced turned from annoyance to fear.
"T-Tom." I said Tom's name in fear.
"I see your still afraid of me? Tell me where is your precious Bill." Tom said coming closer to me.
"Please T-Tom. Please don't hurt me." I said pleadingly as I put my hands on my stomach protectively.
Tom then came extra close to me and put his hand on my cheek.
"I just don't see what my brother sees in you. You are nothing but a weak human." Tom said as he grabbed my chin tightly.
"Please Tom! Think of your brother. Think of your niece and nephew!" I yelled
"I don't care about those half breeds. Their mother is human and therefore they are nothing to me." Tom said and threw me to the ground.
"Please stop!" I cried
"Never. You don't deserve my brother you weak, pathetic human." Tom said and and next thing I knew Tom had dug his fangs into my neck causing me to scream so loud that everyone in the kingdom probably heard it.
"Soon you'll be nothing but a corpse sucked dry and I will have my brother back." Tom said and continue to drink my blood.
I was starting to lose conscious from the blood loss. If nobody stopped Tom not only would I die but Bill and I's children would as well.
Just then Tom was pushed off of me.
"Seriously Tom?! Again?!" I heard Bill's voice scream in anger.
"She is nothing but a pathetic human brother. So what if she and those abominations die." Tom yelled
"I can't believe I am hearing this from you! You are supposed to be my twin! It shouldn't matter whether my mate is human! Why can't you just be happy for me!" Bill yelled.
I could feel my body starting to become weaker from the blood loss.
"B-Bill." I said weakly.
"Courtney!" Bill exclaimed and ran right over me. He bit his arm and then put it toward me and I looked at him confused.
"Please drink. It's the only way. My kiss won't heal injuries this severe. If you drink you'll regain your strength." Bill said and put his arm towards my mouth and I started to drink the bitter taste of Bill's blood.
"Are you an idiot?!" Tom yelled.
"You're the idiot! If her injuries weren't this severe because of you I wouldn't have to do this!" Bill yelled as I drank his blood. I started to feel my strength coming back. Bill then released his arm. And I felt tired.
"Bill." I said sleepy.
"Rest love it'll be over soon." Bill said and I closed my eyes not knowing what he meant.

Bill's POV
As I laid Courtney down I faced Tom and glared.
"You may be my twin but I will not have you hurting my wife or children." I said and lunged at Tom.
I tackled him to the floor and we both began to fight. It would have probably ended with one of us killing each other if our mother hadn't stepped in this time.
"That's enough you two!" My mother yelled at us both.
"He started it!" I yelled
"And I'm ending it!" My mother said
"Honestly just get rid of that filthy human! She's not wanted here! She just going to die in child birth anyway!" Tom yelled.
"Tom! I said enough!" Mom yelled
Tom ran away in anger in a hurry probably to go feed but I could care less at the moment.
I went over to Courtney and lifted her up.
"Mom, what do I do? Tom is right. Courtney will die in childbirth. It would be different if I was human but I'm not. She's bound to die from blood loss. I want to be with her forever but I don't know if I can change her." I said as I felt a tear roll down my eye onto Courtney's sleeping figure and down her cheek.
"Bill I know it's hard but talk to her. I mean if it's the only way to save her life then she will let you do it. Just talk to her. She's due in three months and you don't have much time. I'll keep Tom in check until the child is born but you two have to work this out you hear me?" My mom said
"Yes. I understand mom. Thank you." I said and headed into the castle and laid Courtney down in our room under the covers. I got undressed and into some pajama pants laid beside her.
"I'll protect you and our children Courtney. Even if I have to change you. We will be together forever love." I said and then fell asleep next to my love.
