Chapter 29

Bill's POV
I looked around the castle but couldn't find my wife. She wasn't in the dining hall, the library, or our bedroom. I tried to think of where else she could go. I then remembered that she loved to go to the garden to clear her head sometimes. I rushed off to the garden and saw Courtney sitting by the fountain holding the twins.
"I thought I would find you here." I said sitting by my wife.
"I'm sorry. I just needed to clear my head." She said but I could tell it was more than that.
I took Ava from her and she held Dean.
"Why?" I asked.
"Why what?" She questioned.
"Why would you risk your life? Tom told me what happened." I said.
"I'm sorry. I just I have to do something. I hate that my village is still in trouble. I need to do something." Courtney said and stood up and looked down at Dean and then looked at Ava.
"What is it?" I asked and stood up, towering over my wife.
"I'm scared Bill. The reason I went back to my village, I needed to stop what is happening there. I don't want our children to grow up in that. I may be a vampire now, but they are half breeds because of me, they are part human because of me. I can't bare the thought of them going through what I went through one day." Courtney said and began to cry. I held Dean securely and wrapped my arm around her and Ava.
"Nothing like that will happen I will make sure of that. But three or four days isn't enough time to think of something." I said.
"I have to do something!" Courtney shouted
"We will, but you need to give my mother and Tom some more time to think of a plan that isn't rushed."
"A month. A month is the most I will do. If they can't think of something by the end of the month I am going back and doing the job myself." My wife said. I kissed her forehead.
"A month it is. Now let's go inside and put these two down, then we will talk to Tom and my mother." I said.
My wife simply nodded. We went upstairs and put both the twins down and then went back to my mother and Tom to think of a plan. I just prayed that my wife wouldn't do anything rash before we thought of anything.
