Chapter 15

It has been three days since Bill and I had our talk and we had yet to figure something out. I wanted to stay human but if I had to change so that I could stay with Bill I would. I was out in the garden rubbing my 7 month old bump. It seems I have been spending a lot of time out here lately but how can I not when it is so peaceful out here.
"Courtney dear. Are you alright? You have been extra quiet lately?" I heard Simone say.
Simone sat next to me on the fountain and put a hand on my shoulder comfortingly.
"It's nothing. I'm fine really." I said with a sigh
"I'm a mother dear. I know when someone is upset. What is it dear?" Simone asked sincerely.
"It's Bill." I said sadly.
"What about him? Is he alright?" Simone asked with some worry in her voice.
"Of course! He's fine...its just he's trying so hard to find a different way. He doesn't want to change me and I'm afraid that him trying to find a different way is stressing him out too much." I said
"You just need to talk to him. Everything will be fine." Simone said with a smile.
"How can I talk to him when I barely know where he is half the time." I said
"Have you checked the library?" Simone asked
"You have a library?" I asked confused
"Yes dear." Simone said with a laugh.
"I'll check there." I said and got up from sitting on the fountain.
"Do you need help getting there?" Simone asked
"No thank you. I can handle it." I said politely declining her offer.
I gave Simone a hug and then went to search for the library. After a bit of searching I found two big doors with one slightly open and a light on. I opened it a crack to see Bill sitting at a desk with a few books. I knocked lightly on the door and Bill looked up. Once he saw me he ran over.
"Courtney?! What are you doing?! You shouldn't be walking so much!" Bill said worried and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"I'm fine Bill. I just came to find you." I said
"Why? Is everything okay?!" Bill asked worriedly.
"I'm just worried about you. It's been three days and I have barely seen you. I hate that you are stressing yourself out over this." I said caressing Bill's cheek.
"I'm fine. I'm just trying to see if there's a way for us to have our children without you having to become a vampire and half angel. " Bill said leading me over to the desk he was at.
"Have you found anything yet?" I asked curiously.
"No, not yet." Bill said with a sigh of disappointment.
"I'm sure you will find something and if you don't it's okay." I said a little sadly.
"I guess." Bill said disappointed.
"Everything will work out the way it's supposed to. I'm going to lay down. I'm tired." I said going to leave but Bill stopped me and kissed me.
"I love you." Bill said with a smile on his face.
"I love you too." I said and left to go lay down. Once I was upstairs I laid down on the bed and fell into a deep sleep. I hope Bill is able to find something. I want to see our children grow up.
