ELIJAH POV

As I walked out of the room I was immediately bombarded by my impatient friends.

"So how was it," Bryson asked

"Found anyone who piqued your interest," Cameron added.

It took everything in me not to yell at them in front of everyone but I understood their excitement. It's been two months since the two of them helped me look for a wife.

"First of all calm down and quiet your voices," I said making the two immediately shut up.

"About your question, I did find someone I like," I said with a small smile. The two gave each other a high five and did their little happy dance before they put their focus back on me.

"She got him smiling bro never smiles," Bryson teased me.

"Who's the lucky lady I get to call sister-in-law," Cameron said.

"I have to call my wife to break the good news," Bryson said dramatically.

"It's not official yet Bryson so stop the nonsense, I still have to put in my bid," I told him

"Oh yeah sorry, I got too excited," he said while scratching the back of his head sheepishly

"Now show us her resume who is the lucky lady," Cameron said impatiently

Looking down I saw her face in the pictures her resume was on top of all the others as she was the last person I talked to. I handed them her resume.

Both of them read through it in awe.

"Anisa Karimah Numbi," Cameron read out loud

"Wow her hobbies and skills are fascinating," Bryson said completely awestruck

"You my boy found a gem," Cameron said dabbing me up.

"I know right, I just know she's going to be good friends with Jhansi and Jamila," Bryson said with a proud smile.

"Gentlemen, please gather in the auction hall," we heard someone say.

"Let's go get our sister-in-law," Bryson said with excitement.

The three of us were sitting down in our destinated seats. Not having to wait for long the auction started.

"Now for the next wife candidate, we have Miss Nola Simon, let the bidding begin," the man named Mason who earlier introduced himself as the owner said

"Starting with 6000 Wumnia," he said

I scoffed hearing the price, recalling the speed date I had with her I could tell her character was rotten and wouldn't stop talking about anything but herself and how good of a couple the two of us would be if I chose her.

"6500," someone yelled.

"7100," another man yelled.

"7800," someone else yelled.

"8500," someone quickly said

"9650," the man from before yelled

"19050," someone yelled making everyone gasp and murmur amongst themselves.

Turning around we could see Kai Jones the young master from the Jones family holding his number up.

"21000," someone argued back the room suddenly felt tense

"38450," Kai said

"38460," the other guy said again challenging him.

Kai raised his eyebrow at him.
