ELIJAH POV

"My friends accompanied me today they just stepped outside to make a phone call," I told my wife.

My wife and I still had to get used to the thought.

She nodded her head in response as I led her outside the building. As we were exiting the building Cameron was walking up towards the front door of the building but stopped once he spotted us.

"You must be Anisa my name is Cameron it's nice to meet you," he said in sign language

A big smile appeared on Anisa's face.

"Nice to meet you, Cameron,"

"Ay, you already hogging my sister-in-law," Bryson said as he appeared behind Cameron.

I rolled my eyes at his childish behavior.

"Bryson, I'm the cool one, nice to meet you," he signed.

"My name is Anisa, it's nice to meet you," Anisa said back she couldn't stop smiling.

"Ooh, my wife is going to love you," Bryson said exited.

"Let's go the upcoming two days will be a little busy," I said.

The three of them nodded in agreement as they spotted the other couples leaving the building. We quickly made our way to our car where the driver was waiting for us.

Before we could step in we could hear someone calling Anisa's name.

"Hey Anisa,"

Turning around we could see a blonde girl walking up to us as I squinted my eyes I recognized her as the girl I disliked earlier. I masked my face void of any emotion. My eyebrows furrowed when I noticed Anisa tense beside me.

"I wanted to congratulate you on your marriage before I left, the past three years were eventful," she said with a fake smile on her face.

"See you around," she said while walking away holding her husband's hand as Kai didn't even try to hide his glare.

"What the fuck was that about," Cameron said

"The two of them seem like a match made in Heaven," Bryson said sarcastically while stepping into the car.

The car left the parking lot heading towards our destination.

"Sent me the documents by tonight so I can get you guys officially registered, should I also send Quinten and Giselle your way for the two-day check-up," Cameron asked while typing away on his phone.

"Yes, that would be nice," I said

The rest of the car ride was spent in silence.

NO ONE POV

As the two friends were dropped off first the newly wedded couple was left alone in the car still headed toward their home.

Anisa had fallen asleep her head leaning on her husband's shoulder as he was busy reading the information, Cameron had sent him.

"Sir, we've arrived," the driver said making Elijah's sharp eyes look up from his phone.

"Could you please help me unload her luggage,"

"Yes sir,"

Elijah shoved his phone in his suit jacket and opened the car door, he carefully stepped out of the car while carrying a sleeping Anisa in his arms.

Walking up to his front door the door automatically opened after the home bot recognized the facial scan of the owner of the house.

"Where should I put these sir,"

"You can put these by the couch I'll take it from here, thank you for your help today Marlon"

"It's my pleasure, sir,"

"Have a good night Mr. Kato,"

"You too Marlon," Elijah said as he made his way toward the guest bedroom.

He didn't know if Anisa was comfortable yet to sleep in the same bed so he brought her to the guest bedroom for now.

A couple of hours later Anisa woke up feeling hungry. Looking around confused as she didn't recognize the room she was in. It suddenly dawned upon her as she remembered being in the car with her husband and his friends.

This must be his house she thought. Her cheeks warmed up in embarrassment as she realized she was lying in a bed, most likely his bed.

Her eyes landed on the digital alarm clock on the nightstand her eyes widened when she realized it was past dinner time.

Anisa jumped out of bed completely panicked.

"Way to go Anisa it hasn't even been 24 hours and you already messed up the first rule" she scolded herself.

She exited the bedroom and walked towards the staircase hoping her husband wouldn't be upset with her.

At Platinum Plaza, it was one of the first rules the young girls were taught to always prepare meals on time, and a saying that stuck by her was a happy husband is a peaceful household.

Before she knew it she was already downstairs she spotted her husband in the living room who was busy typing away on his laptop surrounded by a couple of documents.

Hearing footsteps Elijah knew she was awake.

"Oh you're awake I was about to wake you up I'm almost done with the documents, I stayed in the living room in case you couldn't find my office", he said finally looking up only to see a very flustered and panicked look on her face.

"I'm sorry I slept for so long I didn't realize that it was getting so late, I should prepare dinner I hope I didn't upset you,"

Elijah looked at her completely confused.

"No, I'm not upset with you, it's completely fine I was planning on ordering food and giving you a house tour. We still need to do some grocery shopping I haven't been home for two months due to traveling,"

"And besides that, I don't mind eating dinner a little late I never really eat at a certain time it depends on the day so you're fine. You can relax around me I don't bite," Elijah said giving her a gentle smile

Seeing his smile Anisa relaxed.

"I'm sorry it's just I've been taught at Platinum Plaza how I should take care of my household with certain rules so I panicked," Anisa said

"With me, you don't have to follow the rules just be yourself and do whatever makes you happy,"

"Come sit let's see what we can order I'll give you a house tour afterward," Elijah said while patting the seat next to him.
