CHAPTER 4

"Come sit let's see what we can order I'll give you a house tour afterward," Elijah said while patting the seat next to him.

NO ONE POV

Anisa woke up to the sound of the birds chirping outside. Squinting her eyes she looked at the clock on the nightstand seeing it was only five-thirty am.

She let out an annoyed huff as she was already fully awake she decided to wake up and take a shower. She quietly made her way toward the connected bathroom.

Anisa's eyes widened. This was the biggest and most luxurious bathroom she had seen in her entire life. This made her wonder how well off her husband actually was.

Removing her clothes she stepped into the shower. Almost not daring to touch anything as everything seemed expensive.

As the shower ran Anisa was completely lost in her own thoughts. Her mind slowly wandered to the previous night.

— FLASHBACK —

"And this right here is my office, if I happen to work from home you can find me here," Elijah said.

Anisa nodded making sure trying to remember everything he showed her.

"The face scan update should be complete by tomorrow, you should be able to enter the house by then. That was all I think," he said while tilting his head making sure he didn't miss any detail.

"Oh, and I wanted to ask you something if you don't mind,"

Elijah said after some comfortable silence.

"Yes, sure, go ahead," Anisa said.

"Where would you like to sleep tonight, I have a guest bedroom if you're not comfortable yet sharing a room with me. It's the room you used before, it's okay if you still want to take things slow to get to know one another whatever you're comfortable with," Elijah said pretty much rambling at this point.

His ear turned slightly red the more he kept talking.

Anisa felt her cheeks warm up as their eyes locked she quickly looked down. Completely missing the flustered look on her husband's face.

If anyone had seen the Elijah Masami Kato completely flustered and embarrassed, they wouldn't have been able to believe their eyes.

The strictest and coldest Neo Knight General that scared anyone with his name alone is blushing. Bryson and Cameron would've had a field day if they saw him right now.

A moment of silence broke out between the young couple as they were both too embarrassed to speak.

Anisa didn't know what to say. This was never what Platinum Plaza thought her. She was thought to be an obedient wife and to do whatever her husband asked of her.

But Elijah hasn't done any of that since the moment they entered the house. He kept asking for her opinion and made sure she felt comfortable.

Anisa felt confused.

"Am I doing a great job as a wife, isn't that what a husband and wife should do without asking? I think I should say yes, yes I am going to say yes I want to be a good wife," she thought to herself.

Too lost in her thoughts she didn't notice Elijah looking at her nervously.

"Did I rush too much into it, did I overwhelm her with my question, did I make her feel uncomfortable?" Elijah asked himself slightly tilting his head.

He cleared his throat to get her attention.

"I think for now you should sleep in the guest bedroom and we can share a room once we have gotten to know each other better,"

Anisa quickly looked up not expecting him to say that. But she somehow felt too embarrassed to tell him that she didn't want to wait until she got to know him. She wanted to tell him that she wanted to share a room with her husband but she didn't.

Elijah gave her a slight smile. "Come let me walk you to your room it's getting late,"

Anisa could only nod and follow him like a lost puppy.

— END FLASHBACK—

Anisa wanted to punch herself for not speaking up.

"Why can I never do anything right," she thought while placing her head on the cold shower wall.

She let out a sigh feeling disappointed with herself.

After a while, she emerged from the bathroom and got dressed. She decided to wear a simple outfit. She put on a green fitted shirt with oversized jeans. Her hair was put in a sleek ponytail and she put on some light makeup.

With one last look in the mirror, she went downstairs.

She immediately went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Opening the fridge she barely saw anything.

Then she remembered Elijah telling her that they had to go grocery shopping. Letting out a frustrated sigh Anisa felt disappointed that her surprise breakfast plan failed before she could even start.

A pout formed on her face as she stared into nothing in particular.

"Good morning," startled by the sudden greeting Anisa couldn't help but jump.

With wide eyes, she looked in the direction of the voice only to see an equally surprised Elijah.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you," he signed

"No, it's okay you didn't mean to,"

"Did you have a good night's sleep,"

Anisa nodded with a smile on her face, she couldn't deny it was the best sleep she had in a while. She didn't have to worry about any of the girls trying to do anything to her while she was asleep.

"And you did you sleep well last night," Anisa asked. A slight smile crept on his face.

"I did, thank you for asking," the smile on his face growing.

A comfortable silence broke out once again. Before Anisa cleared her throat to gain his attention.

"I wanted to make breakfast for you today but I realized we didn't buy any groceries yet,"

The look of realization could be seen on his face.

"Cameron called and said the government officials that he assigned to us would be here in an hour, and they would most likely stay here half of the day."

"Maybe we can order the groceries online for now and go to the supermarket next time, as for breakfast I ordered some Chinese breakfast which should be here soon,"

"Okay," Anisa felt a little disappointed that she couldn't do anything yet to take care of her husband.

The bell rang.

"I'll get the door that must be the breakfast, we can do the grocery shopping together while eating, if you want after the government officials leave you can make dinner if you're not too tired,"

Anisa couldn't help but smile. "I would love to," she said.

"Alright that's settled then, I'll be right back," sending her a wink he walked away.

Leaving a blushing Anisa in the kitchen.
