Chapter 9: Life of Y/n

Y/n pov

After the solstice we had many things to unpack and unload. The knowledge of sozin's comet coming it only makes defeating the fire lord more important. That and the knowledge that a second evil may come up that I will have to take care of. This is all a lot to take in but I know that we will have friends by our sides to help. 

As we travail to the north pole we have had a few notable small adventures. Katara stole a water bending scroll from pirates. We helped two rival refugee groups get along thanks to Anne pretty much lying to them, perhaps not the best thing to do but hey what they don't know wont hurt em. 

Today we were moving through a forest by foot thanks to Sokka instincts thinking Appa was to noticeable. Unfortunately it also led us right into a fire nation camp.

Y/n: "Great instincts Sokka..."

Sokka: "Run!"

One of the fire benders block our path with a wall of flames. Before anyone could really get hurt an unknown group started taking out the fire nation soldiers pretty easily too. As we joined in i used my own fire bending to take on some of the solders. 

It didn't take long until the renaming ones retreated or were knocked out. Looking at who seemed to be their leader who had hook swords I smile and approach. 

Y/n: "Thanks for the help it was- WOAH!"

I barely finish my sentence before needing to dodge the guy's swords as he swipes them at me. 

Katara: "What are you doing?! Y/n's our friend!"

???: "Friends with a fire bender?, they are all monsters"

Anne: "That's not nice, sure most fire benders do awful things but that doesn't mean they're all bad"

???: "They're all just murderers!"

Y/n: "No we are not!" I shouted making the fire pit flare up in my anger "There many of us who just wan't peace and to end this war"

???: "Yeah right, the only way to stop the war is if all of you are six feet under!"

The guy charges at me again trying to hit me with his swords. Each time he swings I move out of the way just narrowly until I grab both of his weapons and heat them forcing him to let go. I then throw the swords to the side and turn back to Anne, Sokka and Katara, walking to them. 

Y/n: "Let's get out of here guys"

???: "Where are you going?!"

Y/n: "Leave us be, your not worth the trouble if you think a few bad people reflect the thoughts of the masses"

The guy looks at me narrowing his eyes before jumping off. I was still angry and I think the others knew that. 

Katara: "Y/n, are you okay?"

Y/n: "I'm fine, its understandable that a lot of people think that all fire benders are evil"

Sokka: "But your not and we know that, don't let some jerk get you down"

Anne: "Right and besides it's like you said, not all of you are bad. I mean look at Shyu"

Y/n: "Right. Thanks guys"

An: Okay now for what I originally wanted to do. Since I'm watching the series while I write this I saw in the episode "The Storm" had a few flash back sequences with Zuko and Aang (Or Anne in this case) and I thought why not do an original chapter about Y/n's life before the main story. I know throughout the series we get flash backs and all that but I wanna give you some inside knowledge about Y/n who is well, you.
