Kiyotaka POV.

9 Am of the Third Day.

Although we made our plans clear yesterday due to the rain and Horikita's sickness we had to delay our venture to the southern part of the island till today.

Observing the camp I saw our tents sunbathing in the dim light and glittering from the prior rain with rare drops of water from the leaves.

Right now all 4 of us were ready to head out.

Our little group consisted of me, Sakura, she asked to take her with us right after hearing about our plan, Karuizawa who decided to go with us yesterday and surprisingly, Kushida, who in turn expressed her desire to go with us only an hour ago.

As for Horikita we decided that while we're away she and Hirata will stay in the camp. Furthermore before we leave we delegated all the tasks to appropriate students.

"Everything is done. This way even with the little presence of Horikita the camp won't fall apart in the mean time."

On this Hirata who was also standing here and to whom I addressed this fraise smiled and gave me a thumbs up.

"Sure thing Ayanokoji-kun, trust us, we won't let you down."

I in turn just nodded and gave others a signal to head out.

Although first 10-15 minutes of walking in a quick tempo didn't tire anyone. After another 20 minutes of walking less resilient Sakura and Karuizawa were already panting.

"Hah, hah, Who knew that in the south of the island the air is so heavy, hah."Karuizawa mumbled.

"Well, take into account that it was a harsh rain yesterday, it's only natural that in such environment the air will get heavy, just imagine the amount of plants this place has."

I said, gesturing with my hand at the hundreds of plants and trees around us.

Sakura who was panting even more the Karuizawa just nodded with a weak smile.

"Cheer up girls ! We're almost there." Said Kushida with her usual smile, although sweating herself she wasn't particularly tired yet.

"By the way Ayanokoji, you're not panting at all, do you practice something ?" Asked the same beige haired girl.

"Not really, just some morning routine to keep myself in shape, and what about you Kushida, you don't seem that tired as well."

Here Cheery girl just smiled and made a dismissive gesture, "It's not that I practice now but I was keeping myself in shape in the middle school, so I suppose some of my old strength is still there." She finished, jokingly flexing her bicep.

"I see."

After this Karuizawa and Kushida continued exchanging comments and little chit chats with me, not noticing a simple fact of Sakura's expression stiffening more and more with every passing minute.

All four of us were standing in front of a huge lake, which even had its own little shoreline.

The lake itself was quite big in comparison to usual lakes that form inside the islands.

The shoreline, though present, wasn't too vast, as the forest basically surrounded the lake from almost all sides.

Another thing that caught my attention was the enormous amount of flies and other insects around the area.

"The rain was a big factor in every direction for sure."
