"Remember, Kiyotaka, one day you will rule Japan, and for this, you will have no need for emotions."
Smash... Smash... Smash.
Sounds of breaking bones and tearing ligaments filled the room. The room resonated with the screams of a man, but I didn't care. I had nothing on my mind except the task.
"Kill this instructor, Kiyotaka."
This man did nothing wrong. He was the only instructor who showed compassion for us, the only one with guilt in his eyes while punishing us. He tried to ease our pain with all the possible options he had, offering extra food when he could and attempting to mitigate the severity of our punishments. But everything has a price.
One day, he had to pay the price for his compassion.
This man discovered his deeds and ordered me to end his life. Without hesitation, I killed him brutally, as ordered. There was nothing in my eyes.
Perhaps, I cracked when this man issued that order, maybe that was the exact moment when I became...
The devil of the 4th generation.
"Can't you see this lady is having trouble standing? Free your seat immediately!"
I was pulled from my thoughts by a shouting lady who had apparently been arguing for quite a while. As far as I understood, she was arguing with a young man for his seat on the bus.
"And why should I give this woman a seat? Such a perfect existence as I have no reason to give up this seat. Also, there's no rule that would oblige me to do so,"
The young boy with golden hair replied without batting an eye.
"How can you even talk like that, you little brat? Just do what elders tell you to do!"
The young man raised an eyebrow. "Indeed, you're older than me, and yet I'm more than confident that this is the only thing in which you're superior to me."
While those two continued their pointless argument, the young girl was about to stand up, when a brown-haired boy in the same uniform as mine stood up.
"There's no need for this argument, miss. I'll gladly give up my seat."
This boy was almost glowing with kindness and pure light, and yet, there was something off about his behavior. I can't tell yet, but I'll have to keep an eye on him. He might become an important piece on the desk called Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School.
The office lady immediately lost her interest in the golden-haired boy, sighing in relief.
"Thanks, my boy. It was quite hard to stand for me."
As the old lady spoke, there was a hint of embarrassment in her voice, probably feeling bad about being the reason for the conflict.
"Oh, no need to thank me. It hurt me to watch you stand for so long."
The brown-haired boy helped the elderly woman reach her newfound seat and then went to the handrail near the exit from the bus.
The golden-haired boy only smirked at their interaction and continued minding his own business.
With the situation resolved, I lost my initial interest in them and turned my gaze to the window and my seatmate.
It was a Raven-haired girl with captivating red gradient eyes, her countenance displayed an air of stoicism as she immersed herself in a book. The title of the book, 'Crime and Punishment,' spoke volumes about her choice of literature. As my gaze shifted from her cold yet beautifully composed face back to the book she was reading I got lost in my thoughts.
