Narrator's POV

The very next day, Seonghwa found himself back at the river to find a way to cross it.

It was already afternoon when he arrived at the river, as he had spent the whole morning searching for a shop that offered his ideal small boat for his quest. He wanted it to be wide enough to get in and out of it easily and strong enough to go on the flowing river.

The thought of swimming in a river did cross his mid as the previous day he observed the river. He found it to be deep enough to swim, but the thought of it didn't sit well with him. So he desperately needed a boat.

However, luck was not on his side because every shop that he visited did not have a boat that met his standards. The shop owners told him that he was asking for too much, or that they didn't have what he exactly wanted. The morning ended with his hopes getting crushed.

And yes, he could have asked Yunho to help him out as he had done that a few times before, but asking Yunho for help was out of the question; that would have raised a few eyebrows and questions that would reveal his identity more than he wished to share.

The only option was to check out the river and see if there was a man-made bridge that he could have used to cross to the other side.

He packed up fast after the small trip to the shops and made his way to the forest.

Once he got there , he found a huge rock to sit on and spaced out. The relaxing atmosphere, the gentle breeze, the smell of grass, the water splashing. Seonghwa took it all in , breathing in and out, letting his mind rest.

It is natural to get upset if you don't get what you want, so it is important to recollect your thoughts before setting on to plan B.

After a while, he decided that it was time to take action, so he walked alongside the river.

More walking happened, and it seemed that there was no hope of finding the bridge, however he did see that there was a fallen tree on the ground.

An idea popped into his brain. He just had to roll the tree nearer to the river and then straighten it horizontally so that he push it to create a semi bridge. From the point where the tree ends, he would jump to the other side.

The plan did not work , instead he got his cloak full of mud from falling with knees on the ground.

With a huff, he got up and went to the river, to get his cloak as clean as possible.

The water flowed calmly down its path, before Seonghwa noticed that there was something on the river. The noise of water slapping around increased, and it seems that something big was agitating it. From his crouch down position , he got up, still holding his stained clock. Staring into the distance, a boat approached him.

And it seems like destiny had bright him.

"Hongjoong?!"

Yes that's right. Hongjoong, merely a friend to Seonghwa, was riding on a boat heading towards him with a huge smile on his face, once he spotted Seonghwa who had a bewildered look.

The boat died down right by the side of Seonghwa. Hongjoong switched off the engine and tried to get out, however, the boat was not stable enough and kept wobbling as he lifted his legs to step out of the boat.

"UMM, could you like lend me a hand?", Hongjoong asked.

A slight chuckle escaped hi slips as Seonghwa took his hand out.

Hongjoong reached it to hold on to it tightly.

Taking one step toward the edge of the boat , Hongjoong decided that it will be a good idea to jump with one leg.

Well, it was a Bad Idea™. As the boat tilted to the side, it made him trip and fall .

Right on top of Seonghwa .

They groaned through the impact of falling into the grassy area.

Hoojoong got up slowly.

He looked down at where he fell, and then he widened his eyes in panic before getting off of Seonghwa.

"I'm so sorry! ", he shouted, concerned lacing his words, "Are you okay?"

Hongjoong began to look for any injuries on Seonghwa's body. However, Seonghwa was already getting up to a sitting position.

His head was throbbing. He might have hit his head a bit on the grass, but since the grass was a bit tall, it had softened the impact . Every word that the guy spoke was making the pain worse, so be placed on of his fingers in his lipid to sush him.

Hongjoong stopped talking.

His vision blackened, and his body fell limp.
