Verkā, or simply translated to "wolf" in old Iranian is a pack that branches off from their mother pack-The Dnib (another word for wolf). The Verkā is a pack with a slight difference compared to those native to the United States. The biggest difference is the type of wolves they are. Coming from Southwest Asia these pack members took on the forms of an Arabian wolf or some take on the forms of an Indian wolf.
This pack also has a separate ranking system that differentiates themselves from most state packs. Yes, there is an Alpha and Beta but there are also Royal titles such as Prince or Princess but only if they are the children of the Alpha of their Mother pack.
Along with Prince or Princess there is also a title of 'Guard' who are assigned to their more royal titled wolves.
When it comes to ranks the Alpha is the leader, of course, but if a Prince or Princess is within this pack they are sometimes more respected due to their title.
The Verkā is the first pack to branch from their Mother pack but many years before hand alliances had been established with some state packs. The Verkā is allied with Black Moon, Red Wood, the Sierra pack, Red Pine, and their newest alliance is Niagara.
This pack is also very strict in their ways (though trying to break free from it). Most of the time the parents will find mates for their children and this pack will usually dismiss any same sex relationships.
Those who are of Royal status will often wear red and gold accents as a sign of their royalty.
