The world will keep turning

Everyone will keep moving on in their life

But I can't!

You should be here

You should have gotten to live your life.

You should have opened your eyes

And you certainly should not have died.

You were born sleeping

You never got to be.

People act like you never existed

Even though you were stillborn,

You were still-born.

I wish the world could just stop, or even slow down

Just so I can recover a little.

I won't ever move on

Even if others do

You can't just get over this

You are not a cold

So I will remember you

Even tough memories are few.

It's like a wildfire.

Once it starts,

It engulfs you.

It won't leave you alone.

You can't get rid of it,

It won't give up.

Just as you think you are being freed,

It gets you again.

It won't let go.

What is it?

GRIEF!
