I lost, you gained
You were supposed to live a long, happy life with me
little did I know, you would be born sleeping.
You were supposed to be by my side day in day out,
little did I know, you would never open your eyes.
You were supposed to be the stars of my life,
little did I know I would never see your smile.
You were supposed to be... everything a boy could be,
little did I know you would never draw your first breath in.
I never got to see you,
smile, walk, talk, sing, laugh, play, or grow up.
But it does not matter what I did not get,
all that matters is what YOU got.
What did you get?
Free pass to heaven, never knowing pain, fear, etc.
We love you Kaleb and Ethan!
You will forever be in our hearts, minds, and tears.

Wow thanks to everyone who continues to read and stick with me. I was astonished to see that I had 251 reads. That may not seem like a lot but it is to me. I did not think anyone would even find the poems. If you have any feedback or questions I would love to hear it.
Thanks
-Olivia
