CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX: BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL

     IT wasn't long before the party at the canyon was in full swing. There were a bunch of people there before the group knew it and Molly was excited. She had been to parties before with her brother and his friends but this was her first party with her friends there with her. There was music playing throughout the canyon and some teens danced around and others talked. The one thing the majority of them had in common was the fact that they were drinking.

Molly was standing with Eli, one of his arms around her waist while his other hand held his drink. She had a Shirley Temple with vodka in her cup as they talked with a few other people from the dojo and Demetri. The girl had mentally checked out of the conversation several minutes prior along with Demetri, the two just nodding along every so often to give off the appearance that they were listening.

"Hey, I need to get another drink. Want to go with me?" Molly asked the boy quietly as she shook her empty cup.

Demetri nodded, following the girl towards the coolers where she made herself another drink. He held her cup for her as she poured the Sprite, grenadine, and vodka into it. Molly was quick to pull her phone out of her pocket when she felt it buzz, frowning when she saw it was just another notification that she was tagged in someone's story. She had been hoping it was her brother telling her that he was on his way to the party but he hadn't messaged her since he told her that he would let her know if he could make it.
