The next morning, all of us are outside trying to convince Taissa to stay.

I was too lazy to change so im wearing the same shit as yesterday, its not like its dirty or anything.

"Tai, everyone thinks this is a bad idea." Van says as I make another basket with random vines.

"Well, we have to do something. We're starving theres nothing to hunt." Tai yells making me stop making my basket.

"The animals might be migrating." Misty says as I continue with my basket.

"That's probably why the only game we've seen for weeks was the one sick deer, and its just gonna keep getting colder, and not "I better put on a coat" cold. We're talking "dying feels like falling asleep" cold" Taissa argues back.

"What do you guys think?" Laura Lee says turning towards Molly, Lottie, and I.

Molly and Lottie say I don't know, "I agree with Taissa we have to find a way to get out of here, and she's not going alone one of you guys have to step up and go with her if you dont want to die." I say.

"Thank you Michelle, but look guys anyone who wants to come with me is welcome, but im going" Tai yells.

"You're going to wanna take stuff with you right? Like food and supplies? Thats not up to you." someone says as i finish up my basket.

"Well, you cant just send her out there with nothing." Shauna says as Molly nods her head.

"This is insane! We don't know where we are, just that we're surrounded by big-ass mountains. What are you now? Edmund fucking Hillary?" Van yells as Molly laughs a little, Mari lets out a "Who?" and we start laughing even more but stop when Taissa starts talking again.

"like I said, we're not on an island. If we go south, we've got to run into something eventually. A road, a town, anything." Taissa says in a quite calm voice.

"She has to take a rifle, or a gun or something. I dont know!" I yell.

"No. She can't take the rifle. Im all for what you're trying to do, tai, but the guns have to stay." Nat says as we just stare at her.

"Okay, fine. I could bring some of the stuff we dont use every day. One of the axes, the compass..." Taissa trails off but Jackie interrupts.

"There's a flare gun in the dead guy's plane." she says but everyone looks at her weird.

"Dont tell me that you, of all people are on board with this." Van says looking straight at Jackie.

"What she's saying makes sense! I mean if she's willing to go then.." Jackie yells snapping at us.

"What if you're wrong.. what if there's just nothing?"  Laura Lee mumbles.

They start saying stuff but im thinking about how Taissa can take my gun and an i keep the axe but i snap out of my trance once i hear Taissa say, "If im wrong, ill die out there... Im leaving in an hour." she says walking inside.

"Well shit." I whisper following her inside to help her pack.

Time Skip

I helped Taissa pack up her stuff so she can be safe now im helping her cut her hair off.

"I think it suits you!" I yell cutting off the back.

"It's pretty hot, actually.." Van says as i finish Taissa's hair.

Some silence passes by but Taissa finally breaks it, "You're not gonna talk me out of this.".
