Walking outside felt like the longest walk of my life, but I finally made it to the field. "Need some help?" I ask Misty, and she hands me a handful of cones. I start placing them down in a line while the others start to warm up.

"and done!" I say brushing off my hands completely ignoring how flipped up they are. I join them in warm up passing, and moving the ball around the cones.

Usually me and Natalie pass the ball to each other, but we didn't I practiced with Lottie today and she practiced with Crystal.

After passing the ball back and forth and working on our foot work coach called us over, blowing his whistle.

"All right ladies. Bring it in. Take a knee, ladies." he says, by take a knee he means sit down on your knees, but I always just lay on the floor.

Im not going to sit on my knees since they're already bruised.  "If he says ladies one more time im gonna kill myself." I whisper into Lotties ear.

"Whats up state champs?" he asks as everyone cheers, I dont cheer I start looking at the clouds seeing if there are any shapes.

"Okay, so JV is gonna help us out with a little scrimmage today, coach Martinez had to take care of a family thing so, JV, you're gonna grab a pinny from misty, and lets get started" he rambles but I tuned him out half of the tine.

"Excuse me Coach Scott, Shouldn't we say a prayer first?" Laura Lee asks.

Coach says something but I tune him out. "Just let her say the prayer, it's not gonna hurt you." I say getting on my knees to pray with Laura so she doesn't pray alone.

Coach stared at me looking kind of scared. "but, uh sure, yeah knock yourself out." he says.

"Heavenly father, let our efforts remain fruitful, so that we may perform in ways glorious to you, In your name we pray, Amen." me and laura lee say together.

"All right let's go!" Coach yells clapping his hands as we all get up.

We all run into our positions, and stand there until the ball gets kicked.

All of us move around trying to get the ball and make it into the net.

"Nat!" Allie yells as Natalie passed the ball towards her.

Allie gets the ball but she got it taken away by our other team.

Coach blows his whistle making us stop moving and yells "Come on Allie, that should've been yours!"

Taissa walks up to him and asks something, and suddenly shes on the opposite team.

"Oh she gets to switch but when I asked to switch I couldn't?" I whisper into Lauras ear.

"Alright let's go varsity! Taissa wants to see you step it up, and quite frankly that makes two of us.  Let's see some hustle!" he yells blowing his whistle.

We all start moving around again and almost bump into Allie. "Sorry Allie thats on me!" I say running to the other side.

Allie smiles and then runs after the ball accidentally pushing Taissa.

"What the fuck is Taissa doing?" I whisper grabbing my inhaler from my pocket and taking a puff from it.

"Ty you're not helping and it's seriously not working!" I yell running towards Taissa.

"We cant freeze her out, then shes gonna have to learn under pressure" she says looking at me and Shauna.

"Well shes not gonna learn if you keep acting up like this, get a grip Ty." I say running to the other side where Natalie is.

Allie takes the ball from Taissa and starts running with the ball, "Go Allie!" I yell running to Allie too get a closer look at her, but Taissa seems to be going after it so I stop for a minute to catch my breath.

I start running again to try and take the ball but I notice Taissa trip her and Allie crying. I run towards Allie and rest her head on my lap.

Her knee is all messed up, it's bleeding it popped out you can literally see her fucking bone.

"Allie, honey.. do not look down at your knee just stay looking at me or the sky but whatever you do dont look down okay!" I say looking down at her knee.

It's bloody, scratched, and you can see her bones, shes screaming in pain and I grab her hand to try and calm her down, but she squeezes it.

"You're okay! were gonna get you help, breath in and out." I say as the other girls run towards us.

"Keep her still!" our coach says looking down as Misty runs to call for an ambulance.

"You're fine, just squeeze my hand you're going to be okay we are getting help just stay still Allie !" I yell as the other girls keep her still.

Taissa looks over at Allie and stays silent, "What the fuck did you do Taissa?" Natalie asks looking up at her.

Time skip

About 10 minutes later the ambulance arrives and takes Allie to the hospital while the rest of us go into the locker rooms, waiting for the day to end.

Me, Natalie, and Taissa are sitting on the floor while the rest are standing up.

Jackie walks in and starts giving us a pep talk, "I know we're all really worried about Allie, but it might not be as bad as it look" she says

"Oh my- Jackie someone just almost got paralyzed! and your giving us a pep talk? Quit being so fucking percky and do us a favor, shut up!" I yell putting my regular shoes on.

"You could see her fucking bones Jackie, im pretty sure it's exactly as bad as it looks" Natalie says sitting on the floor.

"Oh god im bouta throw up." Vanessa yells gagging. "If you're going to throw up do it over there." I yell louder than before.

"Okay but, I mean.. we're still a team, and we still have each other!" Jackie says taking a deep breath.

"Jackie, stop talking! For once in your life!" I yell grabbing my stuff out of my locker.

"The lord works in mysterious ways." Laura lee says but me and Natalie cut her off, by slamming our lockers.

"Nice going Taissa" Natalie says walking out. "Taissa grow.the.fuck.up." I yell hitting my locker and walking away.

"all of you guys can suck a dick!"
