While Josh strolled down the corridors he noticed Tobi flirting with two girls. Josh tried to get by without being noticed because he didn't want to be late two days in a row. It doesn't seem like Josh was going to get lucky today. Tobi spotted Josh and pulled him over.

"Hey, Josh!" Tobi put his arm around Josh's shoulder and squeezed it. "Ladies I'd like you to meet my new friend." he introduced.

"Hi." "Hello." the girls cooed. They were pretty, but not Josh's type.

"I-I have to... go. I don't want to be late." Josh stammered.

"Is that how you got detention? Being late?" Tobi said sounding unimpressed. "I got in detention for spray painting the inside of the boys bathroom." he bragged. Josh took this time to slip away. He didn't understand why anyone would be proud to have gotten in detention. Maybe it's just a rebel thing.

The lunch room buzzed with students, aromas of the cheap and unnatural food filled the air. Josh stood there in the middle of the doorway, between inside and outside, looking for somewhere to sit. He never sat in the same spot every lunch. As he looked around, he noticed everyone from detention. JJ was in the cafeteria talking inclusively with some people. Tobi was sat on the stairs with some guys laughing. Vik was in a corner by himself doodling. Harry was laying up in a tree. Ethan was playing football alone. Simon was nowhere to be seen though. It concerned Josh for some strange reason. Josh decided to go by Ethan.

"Hey, Ethan. You play football too?" Josh asked.

"Yeah. Do you?" Ethan returned. Josh replied with a yes before sitting down against a tree to enjoy his lunch. They just sat there for the whole period, making small talk and listening to Ethan's jokes. This guy is actually really hilarious. Josh acknowledged. The next lunch Josh did the same thing. He and Ethan sat under a tree for lunch not to far from the one Harry sat in. Once again Simon was not to be seen. Josh worried what happened to the boy, for he is quite fragile. Josh excused himself for the restroom. As he walked to a stall he peeked into another closed one, meeting with someone's eye. That person looked like Simon. Josh scampered into the stall next to his, stood on the toilet, and peered over into the other one.

"Simon?" Josh shrieked, his voice cracking.

"Hi." Simon waved. He was sat on the toilet crosslegged with his lunch in his lap.

"Do you eat lunch here everyday?" Josh gasped.

"Yes, it's the quietest place during lunch." Simon affirmed, taking a mouthful of noodles. What he meant by quietest, was safest.

"Well, Ethan and I are playing football at tree near Harry's. If you know... wanted to join." Josh invited Simon nervously.

"Mmm." Simon mumbled with his mouth full. Simon was the only person Josh felt comfortable talking around. Therefore he wanted to be sure and be friendly.
