This is the story of H. L. Hunley a Confederate submarine that made history to not in the US, but the world as one of the Founding Mothers of submarines. This is her isekai story in the world of Azur Lane.
It was a beautiful night near the harbor of Charleston where we can see a Union warships blockading the harbor because they learn that the Confederacy forces are building a submarine in Charleston so they decide to created a anti-submarine net in order to capture her or stop her. We can see one of the warship named Housatonic and her spirit watching over the waters.

She can watch her crew doing their normal activity while waiting for the opportunity to strike against this new weapon the Confederacy is building, but the question is where is she which everyone doesn't know that the submarine is much closer then everyone believe, but Housatonic is much enjoying the nice night including the moonlit that is shiny the water with it's beauty.
Housatonic(happy): "At least I can enjoy the beauty of the water with the moonlit."
Everyone is staring at the water which they notice something in the water which they thought it was a porpoise that was about to make a blow which Housatonic love to see.
Housatonic(happy): "Looks like a porpoise. How cute."
However the closer it got to her; she start to figure out that it wasn't a porpoise, but it was a submarine heading right toward them which shocks Housatonic and the crew.
Housatonic(shock): "WHAT?"
Everyone open fire at the submarine which they use small arms because the submarine is too close to Housatonic that they can't use their main cannons so they fire everything they got, but in spirit form; Housatonic was shock and see fear in her eyes when the Spirit of Hunley jump out of the water with a spear, but Housatonic notice the tip of the spear has explosives attach to it. Housatonic got stab in the chest which spew out blood from been pierce by the spear while she was shock that the submarine is making a suicide attempt.
Housatonic(pain): "ARE YOU... INSANE! EVERYONE IS GOING TO DIED HERE INCLUDING YOU!"
There was no response from Hunley which Housatonic notice the look on Hunley's eyes. Hunley was just born to this world and now she is going sacrifice her own life and crew for the sake of winning this war for the Confederacy with no emotions attach to her.
Housatonic(pain): "So you're nothing but a weapon to them and now you're going to die without emotions."
There was explosion to the hull of the Housatonic and she sink to the bottom of the sea while Hunley disappear without a trace and no one saw her again. The Union forces spend the entire war to hunt down the famous submarine, but to no avail. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time Skip
5/3/1995-- Between Housatonic wreckage and Sullivan Island
We can see Hunley's spirit laying on the seabed without motions as if her entire body can't move because the crew is dead from the impact of the explosion and now she's stuck there for god knows how long for her, but she was comfort by the fishes and other aqua creatures that lives there. She never met any ships, but the only of silent of the water until she notice a strange submarine approach her with lights on her submarine and the spirit that comes with her.
???(happy): "We found her."
Hunley is confuse of what's going on and who is the spirit that discover her since she doesn't know how long she was down here which the spirit approach Hunley.
???: "We're going to take you home."
Hunley is confuse of what she meant about home because she was only born is to destroy the Union, but the new submarine is heading back to the surface.
???: "Don't worry; we're going to pick you up."
The new submarine disappear above water which Hunley is back to be alone underwater. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time Skip Same Location, 8/8/2000
It's been 5 years since Hunley saw that submarine and Hunley continue staring at the fishes by swim passing her while frozen in place and start to notice a lot of things happen around her which that same submarine return with equipment that is brand new.
???: "Sorry that takes so long. We need to make sure that we able to bring you up without ripping you apart. Not a surprise since it's been about almost 150 years since you're disappearance."
There was no response from Hunley which the spirit is confuse of why she isn't responding or say any words.
???: "Are you alright? Can you talk?"
No response so the spirit look at the documents and realize that Hunley was just born to this world and died a year later without making contact with any ships except during training.
???: "Sorry about that; I didn't expect to talking to a child, but don't worry about it. We're going to take you home. TIME TO RISE HER UP!"
Some contraptions start to move Hunley out of the seabed and heading to the surface level while trying to maintain her ship from fallen apart since it's old. Hunley manage to reach the surface without trouble and see a lot of people from across the world to see her in person.
???(happy): "They are here to see you the submarine that made history."
Hunley didn't respond to her statement and continue look at the people taking pictures while her submarine is getting out of the water and loaded up on a trailer. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That was her life history of H. L. Hunley and now she will be treated as a landmark. Her crew was buried and have a ceremony while Hunley remain at the Warren Lasch Conservation Center in Charleston, South Carolina. She have a small life, but have a huge impact to the world. She will be remember as the Mother of Submarine Warfare
