Chapter 4: Teacher and the Apprentice

Bismarck's Office, Iron Blood HQ

Friedrich der Grosses arrive at Bismarck's office after she was summon by Bismarck to explain herself of bringing a unknown kansen to Iron Blood Base and not inform her about it. Bismarck was drinking coffee while Friedrich is enjoying patting Z43's head who is enjoying it.

Friedrich: "Sorry about Bismarck, but I was about to inform you after I have that child suited of staying here and make herself comfortable."

Bismarck: "Even so; you could have told me or someone. You never know that she's a spy."

Friedrich: "Isaac have inform me that she isn't a threat to everyone since she's old(child at best) and have no weapons on her so she is safe."

Bismarck: "Isaac inform me about her status and I agree that she isn't a threat, but you never know what trick Azur Lane would do to gather information from us."

Friedrich(angry): "Are you saying that despite been defenseless that she is still a threat?"

Bismarck: "We never know. She maybe defenseless, but doesn't mean she's dangerous."

Things are heated up in the office with Bismarck and Friedrich glare at each other as if they're about to kill each other, but the door open to reveal Z23 arrive with reports.

Z23: "Sorry that I'm late Lady Bismarck; working at the training facility was longer than I expected.... Why does it feel like a warzone in here?"

Z23 can feel tense aura surrounding the office which makes her uncomfortable, but was comfort by Friedrich and want to hire her to teach Hunley about the history and lessons about been a kansen.

Friedrich(happy): "Nimi; I got a favor to ask you. Can you come with me to my room? There's someone I want to meet you."

Bismarck: "Friedrich. I hope you know what you're doing."

Friedrich didn't answer Bismarck and take Z23 to meet with Hunley while Z43 went to the desk and have a snack while waiting for Nijmegen from his trip to inform people, but the tension between Bismarck and Friedrich is still in the room.

Time Skip
Friedrich's Room, Iron Blood Dorm

Friedrich open the door to her room and notice Hunley continue reading the book, but notice that Roon is nowhere in the room so that means that she left.

Friedrich: "Good thing that nothing has happen. Come in Z23."

Z23 came in the room and notice Hunley reading the book before staring at her with a blink stare which confuse Z23.

Z23(confuse): "Who's she?"

Friedrich: "She will be your new student Nimi. Her name is Hunley and please be careful with her. Her mind is like a child and doesn't know the world around her so can you please teach her."

This make Nimi's eyes spark because she found another student to teach her and agree to help Hunley about the world and everything about kansens.

Z23(happy): "It would be an honor to help her Mother."

This makes Friedrich happy and leave so Z23 can become close to Hunley.

Z23: "Hello my name is Z23 and I'm here to teach you about the world and kansens."

Hunley didn't say anything and continue observe Z23.

Z23(thought): "What a tough crowd? I can't tell if she is listening or trying to mock me, but Mother order me to teach her so I have to do it for her and this girl's sake."

Z23 start teaching Hunley about wisdom Cubes and the history of Iron Blood including the war against the Sirens which Hunley continue to watch her with a blink stare at her which cause discomfort for Z23, but once she turn and see Hunley's eyes; she can see a spark in her eyes as if she is interest in this.

Z23(thought): "She's interesting in learning. I can't tell because her eyes are always blink like nothing is inside of those eyes, but there are sparks inside of it. Time to gear it up."

Z23 continue teaching Hunley more about the history and the tactics of submarines since Z23 was inform from Friedrich that Hunley is a submarine kansen so Z23 knows what topic to hit. They continue to school until it was getting dark.

Z23: "Looks like it's time to stop for the day. We can continue this tomorrow. I'm looking forward to our next session."

Z23 left the room before Friedrich enter the room where she notice Hunley is working on math.

Friedrich: "How's your day with Z23?"

There was a moment of silent until she speak.

Hunley: "....Good...."

Friedrich was shock to hear Hunley for the first time and looks like progress is going good for her which cause her to hug Hunley, but there needs to be more progress so Z23 will be doing sessions with Hunley for couple of months and hopefully Hunley can be open up.

Time Skip
Isaac's Lab, Germany

Isaac continue to examine the rainbow wisdom cube while examining the tiny submarine that has old contraption.

Isaac: "Small, no weapons, this submarine is about the size of a fish tank a long fish tank. I wonder if it possible."

Isaac decide to head for the wisdom cube and insert it into the submarine which it's glowing with rainbow colors.

Isaac: "It works, but the question is what do we have?"

The color disappear to reveal a submarine with shark designs just like the U-Boat rigs, but the size remain the same which displease Isaac.

Isaac: "I wish the size won't be an issue, but what kind of powers does this girl have."

He continue writing his notes until a door slam which results more stuff fallen onto him.

Isaac(thought): "I should put the stuff somewhere else instead above my lab."

It reveals Friedrich with a worry look on her face.

Friedrich(worry): "Isaac. Come quick. Something happen to Hunley."

Isaac and Friedrich head out to find out what happen to Hunley after Isaac insert the wisdom cube into Hunley's submarine.
