Chapter 10: Sakuran Intelligence Agency

SIA, Sakura Empire

The Sakuran Intelligence Agency was created by Yamato to gather information across the world in order to bring security to the Sakura Empire. Their HQ is in the mainland of Japan and hold most of the Imperial officers including kansens that can't perform well for the Imperial Navy like gunboats that is useful for protection islands within the Sakura Empire. Make sure that the Sakura Empire make the first move before everyone else. The reason we're here is because we're going to meet one of the leader of SIA which is IJN Karatsu a Sakuran gunboat, but the truth is that her formal name is USS Luzon during her past life until she got capture in Manila Bay and work for the Imperial Army. Now; she is leading the SIA and now she got a lot of things on her plate like helping the Imperial Army to fight against the Sirens in Southwest Asia, Keeping an eye on the borders of the Empire, she has to look for an Eagle Union heavy cruiser that went MIA and now more stuff is coming over when a phone is ringing. Karatsu was drinking sake while looking at the report for her intel agents which reveal to be Bismarck.

Karatsu: "To think the famous Bismarck is calling me. What do you want?"

Bismarck(phone): "I want information that I was hoping you provide."

Karatsu: "You know we SIA don't give out information because we're allies, but depends if this interest us."

Bismarck(phone): "We got a unknown kansen that was rescue by Mother and I want to feel at ease; however my instinct tells me I need to look for any information so I can clear of this doubt."

Karatsu: "Doubt? What's her name and her ship appearance."

Bismarck(phone): "Hunley and she was built in the 1800s. Her submarine looks like a fish tank."

Karatsu: "Make sense. Submarine built is smaller than the ones today, but let me see."

Karatsu open up a shelf that contains information of kansens across the world including USS Enterprise, Queen Elizabeth, including METAs. She try to find any information, but so far nothing for now; so she went to the history book and see any names come in that has the name of Hunley which one has appear.

Karatsu: "Got it. Her name is HL Hunley and her faction is the Confederacy State of America before the Eagle Union is born. So he was born in Eagle Union, but she went MIA after completing one mission."

Bismarck(phone): "A Eagle Union 1800 submarine. Thank you."

Karatsu: "Don't worry about her. She's not a threat to everyone."

She can hear a door knocking to reveal another gunboat kansen who request some documents from Karatsu.

Karatsu: "Sorry Bismarck, but I got things to do and don't want to be disturb."

Karatsu hang the phone and give the documents to the kansen; however phone ring again which reveal to be Kaga.

Karatsu: "Kaga? What is it?"

Kaga(phone): "Me and Akagi request documents about the defense of Eagle Union at Coral Sea."

Karatsu: "Sure thing; I can deliver the documents to you during our drink time."

Kaga(phone): "That sounds fine."

Karatsu hang the phone and grab the documents about information of Eagle Union defense in the Coral Sea before heading out. Karatsu become good friends with Kaga during the wargame with Nagato, Akagi, Mikasa, and Musashi. She was part of Nagato's Team while Kaga is part of Akagi's Team and after she was proof of worthy they become friends.

Time Skip
Sakuran Bar, Sakura Empire

Karatsu arrive at Sakuran Bar in the military base of the Sakura Empire and they notice Kaga with her sister Akagi who is already drinking the sake while waiting for her.

Karatsu: "Hello there Kaga and Akagi."

Akagi(happy): "It's been a while Karatsu. Do you have the documents?"

Karatsu hand the documents to Akagi while Kaga pour some sake for Karatsu. They start to discuss about their next war game which Nagato is busy with helping Yamato with her new rigs and Musashi won't be bother because she has things to do down south.

Akagi: "It's going to be a while for our next war game to commence since everyone has their own things to do."

Karatsu: "What about you?"

Akagi: "Me and Kaga are going to have a top secret mission that only both of us must be silent about."

Karatsu: "As long it doesn't threat the Sakura Empire than I'm all ears."

Akagi is planning to use the Arbiter's powers to created a powerful kansen from the wargame which Karatsu is worry that it will backfire, but Akagi has already plan the first phase of the operation, but it requires a couple more years to get it ready.

Karatsu: "I hope you know what you're doing."

Akagi: "Don't worry about it. I make sure that we get everything prepare."

They finish drinking their sake before heading out.

Karatsu: "Thank you for the drink. Hope we get together again."

Akagi: "Same here and thank you for the documents."

Everyone went their separate ways and Karatsu went to Akashi shop because she have business to deal with Akashi.

Time Skip
Akashi's Shop, Sakura Empire

Karatsu enter the shop and Akashi notice the sense of the SIA agent which cause her to sweat because they know that she is making things expansive.

Karatsu: "I'm here for that debt Akashi."

Akashi(shock): "Karatsu nya? I already send it over."

Karatsu: "Unlikely since a little birdy told me that you upheld the payment you request us to send information of safe route from Azur Lane and the Sirens for your supply runs. I'm here for that gold. 900,000 gold was the worth."

Akashi(shock): "Why? I thought it was 30,000 gold?"

Karatsu: "Every time you upheld our payment; we increase it every day of late. So pay up."

Akashi is in the state of shock and Silver notice everything is going on; so he decide to exit the rear of the building in order to avoid the SIA since they properly find out that he's a spy working for the Royal Navy. 

Silver: "Sorry Akashi."
