HAN JISUNG

The low thrum of people talking filled the hallway as I placed my tray down on the dining room table. School had started, and already I'm pretty sure I'm behind on at least two of my classes. Still, I smile at Felix as he placed his tray down opposite me, barely sitting his ass down on the seat before he began devouring the food.

Through a mouthful of food, he managed to spare me a glance and grinned.

"I'm fucking starving." He said. I think. He had too much food in his mouth to be able to fully make out what he was saying.

I rolled my eyes, unable to hide the smirk that played on my lips. "No way, couldn't tell. It's not like you're inhaling the food or anything."

Another tray clattered as it was placed beside me, and I looked to see Hyunjin sliding into the seat beside me. Seungmin joined us soon after, sitting opposite Hyunjin and watching as the boy poked at his food, his head supported by an arm.

"Hey, no elbows on the table." My eyebrows furrowed.

"No elbows on the table." Hyunjin mimicked. He sighed, throwing a look at me as I suppressed another eyeroll. "Hey, you're not in your boring-ass strict household any more. Loosen up a bit, you'll live."

It's not that simple.

I saw Felix glance at me, a hint of worry in his eyes. I shook my head slightly, and we both let it slide. Hyunjin didn't think too much before saying things. Looking back at him, I saw how he peered around the hall, searching for something to do, something to cure his boredom.

Finding nothing of interest, he suddenly leaned forwards towards Felix, a glint in his eye that told me he was up to no good. He had probably thought of some stupid idea, and he knew that Felix was the one that was most likely to give in to his words and behave like an idiot with him.

I pinched the bridge of my nose. This is who I'm spending all of university with? I looked across to Seungmin, and he shrugged back at me.

"Hey, Felix. I dare you-" As soon as the word 'dare' was out of his mouth, I knew this was going to be an interesting lunch indeed. "I dare you to yell the first thing that comes into your head. 3, 2, 1-"

And Felix stood up, drawing the attention of hundreds of university students as he yelled "AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!" at the top of his lungs.

Before I could push him to sit back down, another voice called out. Surprised, I turned to the figure who has also stood up, a little way off from our table. "OI OI OI!" echoed around the hall as Seungmin raised an eyebrow. I glanced back at Felix, who's whole face had lit up, then back at the random dude who decided to join in with Hyunjin's stupid dare.

Felix wiggled out of his seat, practically sprinting towards the other guy. He, too, ran towards him with all the enthusiasm of two friends that had known each other forever. As far as I was aware, Felix had hung out with us ever since he moved here from Australia.

The two met in the middle, shaking hands before clapping each other on the back like some kind of weird ritual.

Hyunjin looked so, so betrayed, the dramatic guy he is. "Felix has friends other than us? Did you two know about this? How dare he!" And he also stood up, running after the two students bonding in the middle of the dining room.

I could only stare at my dessert longingly before I also stood up, heading towards the unlikely gathering at a much more relaxed pace to see what all the fuss was about. I noticed Seungmin take one last bite of his food before also walking towards them: that guy has his priorities straight.

Walking towards them, I faintly heard Felix and the other guy making introductions.

"I'm Felix."

"I'm Chan."
