JISUNG
Spluttering, I choked on the water I had been drinking as someone smacked me rather violently on the back. I turned around, fully ready to punch someone in the face, before I saw Felix who had bounded up to me with a suprising amount of energy, considering he had been dancing for around 2 hours. Stars were spilling out of his eyes and his whole face was lit up. A faint blush dusted his freckled cheeks, like the real sun had come down and cupped his face in its palms before leaving to the sky once again. I cringed internally at the avalanche of questions I thought were coming at me, all centred around that one name I seem to be hearing a lot lately: Minho.
But the first words to come out of his mouth, dramatically whisper-yelled into my ear, were not anything to do with Minho.
"Changbin asked for my number! Ji, he asked for my number! I was gearing up the courage to ask for his when he just casually brought it up. He slid his phone to me open on 'add new contact' and told me I could type in my number and oh my god Ji he tried to seem confident but he was blushing and it was so cute you don't even know-"
Hit with a torrent of words, I couldn't do anything but listen, a fond smile on my face as I got a shot-by-shot recount of what happened in front of the studio doors after I had left to refill my water.
"And then when I hesitated - I didn't mean to I swear, I was just trying to process what was happening - he backtracked really quickly and rubbed a hand on his neck (oh my god Ji his muscles I want to bite them) and he was all 'no no no no you don't have to I just... would like to have your number because I had fun today-' and I was all like 'no no no it's okay I want you to have my number it's good' so I took his phone from him and typed in my number and saved my name as 'Felix :)' and he deleted the smiley face and I was a bit sad but then he added a heart. Jisung. Han Jisung, listen to me. A HEART. Like one of those less-than-three hearts that look cute and aesthetically pleasing on a contact name. And he had this adorable smile on his face and he looked so huggable I had to resist so badly-"
His face was turning a very bright shade of red, and I wasn't sure if this was because he was recounting the whole scenario with Changbin or he was running out of oxygen, judging by the speed he had spilled all of that out. Jesus, he could replace Changbin in the studio if he actually rapped.
I patted him on the back. "Slow down, lover boy. Don't die because of lack of oxygen before you get asked out. Or ask him out. Take a deep breath, sunshine, there we go."
Felix's face gradually returned to a more normal shade. He cleared his throat, looking down, with a hint of guilt flashing across his face. Noticing this, I tilted my head, bumping my shoulder with his. "What's the matter, Lix? If Changbin's doing anything that you don't like, at all, I will not hesitate to kick his sorry ass no matter how buff he is."
Felix shook his head, a dreamy expression overtaking his features again. "No, it's not Changbin. He's practically perfect." He looked towards me. "Actually, I was also going to tell you. I... texted him. Changbin, I mean."
I raised an eyebrow. "Yes, that is what one is supposed to do when they have someone else's number."
"Yeah, but I uh..."
"You what?"
"I invited him to our dorm..." Felix's voice grew smaller, staring at the floor in embarrassment. The red in his cheeks was back.
I grinned. "That's okay, I'll just stay out of the way, put my headphones on, watch a movie or something. Won't get in your way." I scrunched up my nose. "Unless you're planning on kissing him. I mean, you go sunshine, get yo man, but do not have your first kiss in front of me. If you do, I'll cry and ruin the moment."
