Cage found himself being awaken by one of his ghosts. He tried to get up but realized that there was a weight on his chest. He looked down to find Gage snuggled into his chest and his arm wrapped around him. He wondered when his twin got into bed with him. When they were kids, Gage was always the shy and weaker twin so he'd always cling to Cage. Since Cage was older by two minutes, he always felt protective of Gage since the latter was born as the weaker twin. No one could notice now of course, however, Gage is more sensitive than Cage. He was too timid as a child until he was forced to man up.

Gage always slept snuggled on either Cage or Aiden's side as a child. You'd find him with his head on Cage's chest the next morning. One time Aiden had asked him why he always laid on his brother's chest and the latter said Cage's heartbeat calmed him. That was when they discovered that Cage and Gage's heartbeats are in sync. They beat as one and if one stops then the other does too. Aiden realized then that his sons shared the same soul, if one were to die, the other would follow.

Though the twins did not understand what all that meant at the time, they knew they had to keep safe from danger. Cage protected his family no matter what, he was never scared of anyone or anything. Gage just wasn't that good being brave at the time. His anxiety got better though with growth and training. Cage kissed his brother's mob of hair before looking at the ghost.

"Report."

"Master, the Hunters are not just terrorizing your world but the human world too. They are working with someone to create havoc between the realms."

Cage though was shocked, his face remained stoic," Did you find out who the traitor is?"

"Walter was seen communicating with a few rogues recently. He's a suspect but nothing is confirmed."

"I see. Anything else?"

The ghost looked hesitant at first but then he removed a piece of cloth from his pocket and handed it to Cage. The man frowned but took the cloth. He examined it before a delicious scent hit his nose. It was the scent of lotus flowers and... Blood? " Mate." He murmured quietly.

The ghost smiled, " I thought as much. When I met him, I felt a strong sense of protectiveness and devised that he might be your second mate." He explained.

" Who? "

" I don't know, he is an Army General though, here in China. He was fighting off a group of rebels when I saw him. Since I was in a rush to get here, I did not get a chance to find out his name. I had one of our own follow him to find out more. Also, he is a human."

It seemed something knew keeps happening over and over again. First Seokjin raising his hand on him. The war with the werewolves' council members and the Queen of Orbit. Then the hunters and rogues. The rejection, now a new mate who happens to be human? Cage wondered what the Fates really wanted with him. They keep toying with his life.

There must be a reason why he had more than one mate. But a human? Why would the Moon Goddess drag a human into his dramatic and chaotic life? Cage knew a bigger war was raging on the horizon, now it wasn't just the werewolves but all the realms were in danger. He has to find out what the Hunters are up to soon.

This time, he won't be losing another mate. Human or not!
