General Zhou Lan Wei^^^

The clashing of swords filled the battlefield, the rebels were getting high in numbers. The soldiers were all injured, they were already outnumbered and were waiting for backup. They were ambushed in their camp and did not have any way to call for backup in time.

"My Lord, we need to retreat, there's too many of them!" A soldier yelled as he tried to pull the General away.

The general wore a silver armour, his helmet fell down when he dodged an attack to reveal pure white hair tied in a top ponytail. His fair complexion glistering with sweat. He killed a dozen rebels before turning to his men. " Li Jao, take the injured and go!" He ordered.

The lieutenant's eyes widen in shock," My Lord!" He exclaimed.

"Go! I'll hold them off as long as I can. It's important to get the injured treated soon. Now go, that's an order!"

The soldiers had no other choice but to obey. A few remained behind, they were injured but not that badly so they decided to stay alongside their General. The leader of the rebels smirked seeing this, he knew that they'll lose.

"General Zhou, you're obviously fighting a losing battle so why don't you just surrender to me?" The man mocked.

Zhou Lan Wei gave the man an icy glare that shut him up quickly, "As long as I'm alive I will never let you win, Bai Fang."

Bai Fang snarled before attacking head on, the fight was intense but Zhou Lan Wei held his own. Just as he dodged an attack from Bai Fang, someone stabbed him from the back. He groaned falling on his knees, he was then kicked hard on the side of his head by Bai Fang. It has been a month since humans have discovered the existence of supernaturals because of some organization of people who call themselves Hunters. These people have been forcing humans to agree to go to war and destroy the supernaturals before they come for them.

Many others agreed but most chose not to interfere seeing as the Supernaturals have been around for as long as humans have and they had done nothing to harm them. China was one of those who refused to partake in the war which is why they were now fighting a war against the rebels. Zhou Lan Wei was not worried about himself, he was more concerned about his soldiers. He knew if they lost this war then China will be ceded by the Hunters Organization.

Zhou Lan Wei shut his eyes as Bai Fang raised his sword to behead him only the attack never came. He heard a clash of swords, he opened his eyes to find a man clad in black in front of him. He wore a cloak that had a hoodie which covered his face. The man had his back on him, he was facing Bai Fang and he had a sword in his hand.

" Who are you?!" Bai Fang demanded.

The man did not reply, he only stood there watching Bai Fang. That seem to irritate the latter because he lunged, the man leaped over Bai Fang slitting his throat in the process. The leader of the rebels dropped dead seconds later. The other rebels charged forward, Zhou Lan Wei felt his heart stop for some reason. He was terrified and he was never terrified in battle. He watched in shock as the man dodged every attack and killed over 400 rebels all on his own. By the time he was done, he was in the middle of the battlefield surrounded by blood and dead bodies. His cloak floating in the breeze silently with his sword dripping with blood.

"What just happened?" One of Zhou Lan Wei's soldiers asked in bewilderment.

" We just got saved by a daredevil." Another replied with an awe expression.

The general couldn't keep his eyes off the man in black, for some reason he was drawn to him. He watched as the man turned and came over to them. His breathe hitched when he saw the man's face. He was breathtaking.

The hoodie covered his face but general Zhou could see it clearly since the man was kneeling in front of him. Cage studied the man who was his mate silently, he stared at the wounds coldly.

" I'm ok, they'll heal in no time." The general assured sensing the man's displeasure.

Cage did not say anything, he helped the general up as one of the soldiers brought a horse over. He assumed it belonged to the general so he helped him on it and climbed on behind him. General Zhou led his remaining soldiers back to their camp safely. The others were happy to see them, they rushed the general to his tent and went to call a doctor but Zhou told them to let the doctor finish his work first.

Knowing it would be while before he got his treatment, the general took off his armour as well as his robes, leaving him in his trousers only. He tried to clean his wounds only to have Cage hold his hand. The General did not argue when Cage made him sit down, keeping his sword aside, Cage cleaned the wounds. He was aware that the general was watching him intensely, however, he kept his focus on the wounds until they were cleaned properly. Then he took his sword which was now clean off the blood and cut his wrist a little.

" Hey, why would you do that!?" The general exclaimed and tried to grab Cage's hand but the man pulled it away.

Cage dropped a bit of his blood on the man's wounds and they healed instantly not even leaving a scar. This shocked the general, he looked at his healed skin before looking at Cage whose wrist was healed too.

" You... You're not human, are you?" Zhou Lan Wei whispered.

Cage looked into his eyes and gave him a nod before standing up. " You're leaving?" Again there was a nod.

For some reason, General Zhou's heart hurt on learning that the man was leaving. He did not want him to leave but knew he couldn't ask him to stay either." Thank you. Will I see you again?"

This time, Cage turned away from the man's hopeful eyes and headed for the entrance. He stopped for a second before taking out a head piece and forwarded it to the General. The piece of jewellery flew over and settled itself in the General's hair falling over his forehead beautifully.

Zhou Lan Wei felt the power oozing off the head piece and knew it wasn't just a simple ornament. For some reason, it made him feel stronger and closer to his savior. He looked up only to find the stranger gone. The general was disappointed but he hoped he'd see the man again.
