It was a bright sunny day, birds were chirping happily and leaves swayed swiftly to the wind." Dylan, stop climbing that tree right this instant!" Ashton scolded his son sternly.

The boy turned to him with his pitch black eyes and smirked."Dada, you know I am a vampire, right?"

" I don't care what you are, little man, you're too young to be climbing trees. What if you fall and break your bones?"

Dylan huffed before climbing down the tree and trotted back to his dad,"걱정이 너무 많아요, 아빠. 저는 5살이지만 제 자신을 돌볼 수 있어요. (You worry too much, Dada. I might be 5 years old but I can take care of myself.)"

Ashton pulled the boy into his arms and hugged him close." I know but I still worry. It's what parents do."

" I know. Appa is always worried about me so are papa G and papa C. Every time they call, they always ask how I am and if I'm taking care of myself. Mommy always has a hard time stopping them from fussing over me." The kid mumbled.

Ashton's eyes filled with pain at the mention of his other mates. He hasn't seen them in 6 years and it has been devastating. They had gone to the Dark Knight Pack to get them back but by the time they got there, they were already gone. They would link him everyday and assure him that they were alright, Cage was not ready to come back and Gage goes wherever his twin is. It's been six years and not a day goes by that he doesn't miss them or Seokjin doesn't regret what he had done that day.

Their bond was starting to fade, it had been painful at the beginning but then they got used to it. Now Ash was terrified, he was losing Seokjin as well as the other three. Everytime the vampire king tried to get intimate with him, he's always flooded with images of Cage's cold eyes and he'd pull away. It got to the point that now the King doesn't even sleep on the same bed as him. It was hurting Ashton a lot, he has been safe enough to be his true self around his mates and now he was being forced back to his shell.

"Ash, are you ok?" Svetlana's soft voice echoed in his mind and he shut his eyes. It has been a while since he heard her. She's been busy taking care of her twin sons of 4 years old... "Ash?," she called out again.

"I'm here. I-I'm not ok. I miss you three and Seo has been drifting away. I can feel our bond fading and I'm terrified, Lana." He cried.

There was silence on the other side for a while and Ashton thought Svetlana had blocked him."Where are you, love?" A new, deep voice asked.

Ashton's breath hitched,"I'm at the park with Dylan."

"Come home." Gage ordered.

The submissive thought he heard him wrong. What did he mean by that? Shouldn't he have said 'go home'? He was so confused. "You , what did you say?" He stuttered.

"I said come home, Ashton. You have a minute to get your pretty ass home or I will let Cage bend you over his knees." With that the link was cut off.

Ashton was stunned, he picked up his sleeping son and raced back to the castle. When he entered, a maid took Dylan from him and went to put him to bed. Ashton ran to the room he shared with Seokjin but was disappointed when he found no one there. He couldn't even smell anyone, he fell on his knees as his chest tightened and tears clouded his vision. He missed them so much it hurt, it hurt so bad he could barely breath.

"ASH!" Just when he was about to lose consciousness he heard his voice.

He got to his feet so fast and ran out of the room only to see Gage running up the stairs to find him. Ash halted in his tracks and watched as the man ran up to him. He thought he was hallucinating again until strong arms scooped him into a hug so tight he felt like his bones would crack.

"Gage?" He whimpered as he hugged the man back.

Gage buried his face in the Sub's neck and took a deep breath, " I'm here, love. I'm right here. Breathe for me." He cooed.

The older cried then, he cried so hard it broke the younger's heart as they held on to each other. Gage knew Ash was hurting far worse than any of them and with Seokjin avoiding him, the poor man did not know what to do with himself. They would've come back earlier but they needed to go to the underworld for further training. It took them so long and they hated it because they knew the distance was killing Ashton. Even the Vampire King was hurting, he had been apologizing to them every chance he got and begging them to come back. He hated hurting Ashton and he hated himself for being the reason the twins left with Svetlana.

After what seemed like hours of crying, Ashton finally pulled back and looked into Gage's eyes. " C-Cage and Lana?" He asked brokenly.

" We're here, honey." Svetlana's voice washed over him like cool breeze. Ashton pulled back from Gage and rushed over to the two hugging them tightly." Oh, Ash. We're so sorry for leaving you." Svetlana cooed softly.

Cage kissed the man's forehead in a silent apology. He still did not talk only linked them when he wanted to say something.
