Come Back

The sun was setting, the breeze was growing cold and the animals were all retiring for the day. Cage stood at the top of the castle observing everyone and everything below him. Watching the many ghosts roaming around the castle looking after their families. There were some who just wanted to create havoc but they made themselves scarce as soon as they sensed Cage and Gage. Even though Gage didn't control the Ghosts, it didn't mean he can't punish them if they ever crossed a line they shouldn't. The vampires had looked at them curiously when they had arrived but none of them had the courage to question them.

Cage and Gage had that effect on everyone they met. They gave off a terrifying and cold aura which kept people away from them. Not that they minded or cared. They did not need anyone who wasn't family around them. The twins were fine having each other as friends.

" Cage?" A soft, nervous voice called him from behind. Cage's body stiffened a little, the air around him grew colder as a few ghosts surrounded him protectively.

When Seokjin stepped forward and made a move to touch him, he was pushed back a couple of feet by the ghosts. The Vampire's eyes widen in shock. He looked up at his mate who still had his back on him puzzled. He tried to get closer again but this time he was punched hard by the invisible force. He staggered back and vomited blood. He coughed a few times before trying again. He was once again punched, this process was repeated until the Vampire Lord had no energy left to get up. He had lost too much blood and had broken bones.

"Cage, you're hurting us all, please stop them now!" Svetlana cried, she sounded like she couldn't breath.

Cage closed his eyes in pain, he knew they were hurting. He was too but he just couldn't stop, when he heard Seokjin's heart beat slow down, he ordered the Ghosts to stop. He walked over to the man and pulled his face to his neck. Seokjin was confused at first but immediately got the point when he was hit with the strong scent of Cage's blood. He bit down on the man's neck and sucked, gulping down the most delicious blood he'd ever tasted.

The vampire felt his broken bones heal at a rapid rate and blood fill his veins before a rush of power went through his body. As the King of vampires, he had many powers, one being that he can see the memories of any person whose blood he drinks. He's able to shut down those memories of he doesn't want to see them but he really wanted to see his mate's memories. It seemed that Cage wanted the same thing because he did not block the man from doing so.

He saw all the torture his mate went through. How he was beaten everyday for no reason at all, how he was not given any food to eat for days and when they did give him something to it, he always gave his share to his brother and dad. Everytime they tried to hurt his dad or Gage, he'd stand protectively in front of them and take all the brunt. He always looked after his twin when their dad was too exhausted to do so. By the time Seokjin finished reading the man's mind, he could barely breathe.

He pulled back, licked the wound to close it and pulled his mate into a bone crushing hug." I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he chanted over and over again.

All the while he was sobbing, it fuckin hurt and he couldn't get those memories out of his head no matter how hard he tried."Fuck!" He screamed as Cage passed out in his arms. " Cage! Come on, get up! Please wake up." He pleaded.

Gage sprinted over to them, he knelt in front of the vampire and took his brother's hand." Cage, please. Not like this, don't leave us, my soul. Come back to us, Cage." He cried.

There was no response no matter how many times they begged and pleaded. Cage laid motionless on the ground. He looked dead, his body was ice cold and they couldn't feel his pulse yet he was not dead. They all would have felt the bond break if he had died, Gage would die too instantly while the others would've died slowly. It was still heart wrenching to see him like that. No matter what they did or said Cage just refused to wake up.

" I'm sorry, my beloved. Please, I'd be better, I'll never hurt you like that ever again. Cage, my moon, I love you... I love you so much and I'm sorry it took me this long to say it." The king cried in a broken whisper as he pulled the man to his chest,"우리에게 돌아오세요, 사랑하는 친구여, 제발 떠나지 마세요. (Come back to us, my darling mate, please don't leave.)"

" 이런 일은 일어날 수 없습니다. 그가 죽고 우리를 여기에 남겨둘 수는 없습니다. (This can't be happening. He can't die and leave us here.)" Ash broke down.

Gage stood up and took a few steps back. He halted at the edge of the terrace and looked at his twin." As jy nie wakker word nie, sweer ek jou dat ek van hier af sal spring, my ster. (If you don't get up, I swear on you that I'll jump from here, my star.)" He threatened through the link.

" Gage, don't do something stupid. Stop, please." Svetlana cried.

The latter looked at her brokenly," How can I live without him? He knows if one of us dies then the other stops breathing in that second then why is he trying to leave me?"

No one had an answer to his questions as they all knew he was speaking the truth. A lone tear rolled down Cage's eyes. For the first time in years the man finally showed emotion on his face. He opened his eyes slowly as he struggled to breathe. Gage was in front of him in a flash and pulled him into his arms." That's it, breath for me. Come back home, just hold on to me."

The older twin clung to his brother for dear life as he struggled to breathe. His chest heaved, he felt a hand rub his back and the sparkles that came with it. He could faintly hear Ash and Lana sobbing behind him but he focused on Gage. The man who was passing energy to him and the only one capable of saving his life at the moment. The rest watched the two brothers struggle to keep each other alive.

"Shit!" Gage hissed as he felt his energy being drained,"It's not enough. Seokjin you have to mark him again, the only reason he's dying is because your mark faded completely. The bond between you two broke that day and the mark has been fading slowly over the years. Guess it finally disappeared today." Gage explained as fast as he could.

The vampire king did not waste time and immediately pulled Cage on his lap before biting down on his neck where his mark was before it faded. Cage gasped as a rush of energy filled his body. He grabbed Seokjin's hair and marked him back earning a hiss from the Vampire.

They both pulled back after closing the wounds."Sweet angel, come back to me." The vampire cooed as he caressed the boy's cheek.

Cage snuggled closer to him and closed his eyes to sleep." I never left, you pushed me away." He whispered in a husky voice.

They were all stunned to hear him talk again but happy. Seokjin kissed his forehead lovingly," I know and I've learned my lesson. I'd never do it again."

" Better not or you'll kill us all." Ash grumbled as he snuggled closer to them with their other mates.

Svetlana laughed," I'll castrate you the next time you do something stupid, Jin." She threatened.

"And I won't stop you, babygirl." The king replied.
