The Royal palace was heavily guarded.No one went in or out without being searched. Cage stood at a distance as he surveyed the area. He was trying to figure out where his mate was, the matebond led him to the palace. Zhou Lan Wei was somewhere underground though so Cage assumed he was in the dungeons. What confused him was that his mate seem to be dying. The General was not physically hurt or he would've known and he couldn't be poisoned either hence, Cage wondered what was going on.

"Find him. Bring him to me." He told one of his Ghosts.

The Ghost bowed before disappearing and reappearing not more than a minute later. With him was a barely alive Zhou Lan Wei. The man looked thin, his lips were dry and it was obvious he had been kept in that dungeon for a while. They starved him for so long that he was dying out of hunger and thirst. Cage saw red, he wanted to burn the palace and everyone in it alive.

"Sire, your mate needs you now. Get him to safety. The rest of us will stay here and investigate, I also saw hunters wandering around freely as if they owned the place. "

" Thank you, Galveston, I suggest you have someone stay with Concubine Lee all the time. I have a feeling she is responsible for this." He ordered before disappearing with his mate.

Not wanting to worry anyone, he immediately teleported to his room and took Zhou Lan Wei to the bathroom room. As he took the man's clothes off, something fell out of his pockets and when he picked it up, he realized it was the head band he had given him. " Oh, baobei, I'm so sorry I was late. Why didn't you call for me?" He croaked through tears as he hugged the man close.

The door opened and Gage came in with Isak." Hey, how is he?" He asked softly as he knelt in front of them.

Cage shook his head unable to talk. Gage smiled sadly as he ran a hand down his twin's back. Isak stepped forward and placed his small hands on Zhou Lan Wei's chest. Luckily, the General still had his pants on so he was not completely naked in front of the child. The twins watched as their son closed his eyes and his hands glowed. Him being an angel meant he can heal anyone, he is after all the angel of life while Alek is the angel of death. It took only two minutes to heal the General.

Zhou Lan Wei groaned and opened his eyes slowly. He tried to look around but then realized he was being held against a strong chest. He was about to attack but stopped when he felt the sparks coursing through his body." My mystery, you're back?" He coughed due to his dry throat.

Gage got up and got him some water, once he was done drinking, Zhou Lan Wei sat up straight. He looked at Cage only to be met with a death glare and he gulped." Don't be mad." He pleaded.

" Let's get you cleaned and fed. Then I want you to tell me what the fuck is going on. You better tell me everything or so the Moon Goddess help me I'll burn that palace down! " Cage growled.

Zhou Lan Wei smiled, he knew the man would've come running if he had called. However, a lot of things have changed in the Palace, concubine Lee had taken over and managed to overthrow his father by poisoning the man. Anyone who dared to speak against her was either killed or thrown in the dungeons. She had wanted to kill Lan Wei too however, due to the head band Cage gave him, their attacks on him were futile. When they realized that he was immune to any kind of poison, they decided to starve him to death.

Cage looked at his brother," Can you take Isak and leave us. He needs a bath. Can you have Zhanli order some new clothes for him? She knows what kind of robes he prefers, also, have his favorite dishes prepared." He instructed.

Gage nodded before picking up Isak and leaving the room. Cage helped the general undress completely after filling the bath. Then he helped the man into the bath tub before turning to leave only to have his mate hold his hand." Don't be mad at me, I'm sorry." The general coaxed.

Not wanting to stress the man more in his condition, Cage knelt down next to the tub and pulled him into a kiss. Zhou Lan Wei groaned, he was not expecting that but he reciprocated nonetheless. Cage pulled back, Zhou Lan Wei kissed his forehead lovingly. "Goddess, I missed you. I could feel you dying, Lan Wei, I could feel your soul leaving this world little by little and I... I had no idea why because you were not injured..." He ranted frantically.

The Crown Prince felt bad, he had not known that things would go that far. He had not meant for them to go that far either." I'm sorry, my mystery. I was going to call for you but I wanted to know where father and the rest of my family were kept. I knew that if I called you then you'd immediately take me away."

"As I should."

" Ok, my mystery man. I'm sorry. I won't do it again, please don't be angry now. Wô aí ní (I love you)." He confessed.

Cage undressed in record time and got in the tub cuddling with the man." I love you, baobei. I'm not angry with you, I'm disappointed with you but I'm furious at those responsible for your condition. Don't worry, I'll find your family and make sure they're safe."
