Marianna
It was late at night when Jaidi decided to stop by the house. It was damn near midnight and Randall hadn't arrived home. I wasn't upset, I was tired of being upset, it was time for me to get even. Jaidi pulled up to the door and quickly got out.
"Girl, what is going on!" I softly yelled at her, it was late and I didn't need any of the staff on the grounds talking about me and my family in the corridors like they normally do. I've seen the movie and read the book 'The Help' and I'm sure they already had enough to talk about with his father and sister at the main house.
"We gotta talk," She said, stumbling up the stairs. "I need to pee first." She took off her shoes and ran directly to the bathroom.
"Come to the family room!" I screamed, grabbing her shoes and closing the door.
I sat on the couch flipping through channels when Jaidi returned. She stopped by the bar space on the opposite side of the room and grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge.
"Okay, so what brings you over here this late?"
"Is Randall here?" She said looking around.
"No."
"Figures," She opened her water and took a long drink. "Well, I talked with Jeffrey and he had a lot to say about Randall." She crossed her legs while taking another drink.
"Fill me in." I said turning down the volume on the television. The kids were in bed and at this time, Randall had no intention of returning home.
"Ok, so Jeffrey is definitely gay. So that may be the reason he doesn't want his sister to get married to him."
"Ok, but...," I answered expecting her to bring me more information than just that Randall is mad because he's gay.
"But, it seems as though he and Randall know each other extremely well."
"How well?"
"So well to the point they had a secret relationship that no one knew about." Jaidi revealed something I wasn't ready for.
"A what?" I had heard incorrectly. I just knew I did.
"Randall and Jeffrey were in a relationship." Jaidi could have spelled it out for me, I still wouldn't understand what she was saying.
"What the fuck? Randall is gay!"
"Well no, honey. He's with you, so he's bisexual." Jaidi plainly said. She was loving it, I watched her smirk as she drank the rest of her water.
"You're lying." I came closer to her.
"I wish I was honey, but no. Your husband is bisexual."
"So he's been cheating on me with a man?"
"Well, he goes both ways, honey. So it's a possibility." She answered.
"So now I need to find out who he's been fucking."
"Yep." Jaidi helped herself to a few grapes from the mini fridge again. "I do have a name."
I turned to look at her, still trying to digest the information Jaidi just announced. "You have a name?"
"Yes. I have someone you could start with."
"Wait, what? Who?"
"I was talking with Jeffrey at the club," She popped a few grapes in her mouth and pulled the small throw blanket over her legs. "Jeffrey is very talkative. I guess because he feels Randall did him wrong and he's never really gotten over it."
