I arrived home after leaving Dion's house again; I really had to stay away from him but lately he's all I want. I feel that I could be so open with him and be myself; but recently he's been getting a bit possessive lately. I was supposed to stay the night but he and I had gotten into another argument and I left.

During our lovemaking, Dion bit me on my neck and sucked hickeys on parts of my stomach. He knows how he's not supposed to leave marks. But he left marks because he knows how crazy Marianna can get when she thinks I'm cheating on her. She's the perfect wife but with that comes some serious consequences. She comes from a well to do family that has been linked to the mafia as well as a few drug lords from Mexico. Her family is wealthy beyond comparison with all sorts of business dealings. If you want some money to disappear for a while, they could make it happen - along with a few people if need be.

She loves me with her entire heart, and I love her too, along with my young family. But we've been through marriage counseling due to my infidelities early on in our marriage. We made it over, but she hasn't really gotten over it. Which is why I was trying to be careful when dealing with Dion. He wants me to leave my marriage and family for him, which I just won't do. I understand we have a connection, but it is not to the point I'm willing to give up my entire life just to have sex with him on the regular. I'm already getting the milk for free, I don't need the cow.

I damn near scrubbed myself raw so my skin would have a red tint, should she ask or see any bruises while I got dressed. Fortunately, she wasn't in the room when I finished my shower, I was sure she wanted to have sex. I walked around the house looking for her, finding her on the patio on the phone. I exited to the patio as she finished her call.

"Is everything okay?" I asked, wrapping my arms around her from behind. She snuggled back into my chest.

"Yes, everything is fine." She turned around to face me as I held onto her waist. "Who is Jeffrey Abrams?" she asked.

My face froze instantly. I wasn't sure of how she had heard of him or who she had been talking to in order to mention him. She stared at me as I looked back at her blankly. "Who?" I managed to say as I stepped back from her.

Her eyes narrowed as she stared at me. "Are you okay?"

"Yes. Yes, I'm fine." I said, clearing my throat.

"I asked, who is Jeffrey Abrams? Do you know him?"

"Yes. Why do you ask?" I stuttered. I was trying to keep my cool and losing it at the same time.

"How do you know him?" Marianna had questions from some information she had been given as she normally doesn't speak to me about people she doesn't know.

"He used to be a friend of mine. Why do you ask?" I asked again.

"It seems like he was more than just a friend."

"How so?" I swallowed hard. Had she heard we had a relationship in the past? I was careful not to provide too much detail when it wasn't asked.

"He was your best friend, right?"

"He was, yes."

"What happened between you two?"

"Where did you hear about him?"

"Your Father informed me that your sister is getting married to him."

"Ah, yes. I should have known he was involved."

"Why do you say that?"

"I am opposed to their marriage to be honest." I blurted.

"Why?" She was invested in this conversation as she looked at me focusing on my every word.
