Angela

Confronting Bryan after finding out he had been with someone else again felt as if a weight had been lifted. He was shocked at the fact I had come so direct towards him along with confessing my motive of being with him, he was not prepared for the real Angela. I walked back to the west wing of the house smiling as it was all bittersweet. I could honestly say there was no love left for Bryan, but it was love there at one point in time. I had gotten the best of him through my children.

Michael arrived shortly to assist me with gathering items as I planned on leaving as soon as possible, allowing him to make arrangements to have the rest of my stuff moved to the lake house.

"I didn't expect you to make that move." Michael said as he walked into the living room. I stood by the window, looking out over the gardens.

"I'm tired Michael. I've had enough of his embarrassment. Do you know how his actions make me feel?" I folded my arms in front of me, trying to contain my anger. Michael slid his arms around me from behind, comforting me immediately.

"I'm proud of you, Angela. I must admit, I was unaware of your capabilities." He leaned down and kissed me gently on my cheek. I closed my eyes, welcoming his embrace.

"Does that scare you?" I turned towards him, still wrapped in his arms.

"Not at all. I admire you." He leaned down and kissed me gently. It was at that moment when I realized I didn't care if Bryan walked in on us, I was absolutely done with him.

"Well, I was scared as hell to be honest. I wasn't sure if I would keep it together long enough for him to get the point."

"You did amazing. It was nice to see him completely speechless."

"I know right! I was ecstatic. I saw you giggle also."

"Yeah, however Mr. Worthington didn't take too kindly of my response." He said, stepping back and releasing me from his arms.

"No, he didn't," I chuckled as I leaned on the back of the couch. "But it was hilarious."

"I take it that you are not staying in the mansion tonight, correct?"

"That is correct." Michael stood with his arms folded behind him, awaiting his orders. "I was hoping you would stay with me tonight at the lake house."

"I was hoping you would ask." He smiled. Michael walked over to me and cupping the back of my neck, he planted a luscious kiss upon my lips. "I would love to." He gazed in my eyes and smiled. He was happy, I could tell by the way he looked at me.

I wanted to tell him the surprise I had for him, I'm sure he would be glad to finally have something of his own with no worries of dealing with Bryan anymore.

"Well, I'm sure you will be dealing with him for the rest of the day. I will have a few members of the staff move some of my more important things right away to the lake house. In the meantime, I will have a few deliveries coming in the afternoon, but I should expect you around 7:30 pm, I presume?" I asked, adjusting myself as I walked over to the couch.

"You can expect me to arrive at 7:00 pm. Is there anything you wish for me to bring?"

"Just yourself." I smiled. He blushed and shook his head.

"I will have the staff come and move your items, immediately." He said looking at his tablet, jotting down his information.

"Thank you. See you later tonight."

"Can't wait." He nodded and left.

I wanted our first night together in the lake house to be magical and effortless. I didn't want Michael feeling like he was the help, by asking him to schedule a full seven course dinner for us on top of needing him to make arrangements for the movers. Therefore I've arranged for dinner for the both of us so we can enjoy being together, finally. Besides, I wanted to surprise him when I provide him with something that I'm sure he would be grateful to have. He's always been so modest, I just want the best for him. Even though I was fully aware of what Bryan had been doing since I married him, Michael is the one who showed unwavering love for me willingly and consistently.
