It's been a few days since the incident with Mattheo in the hall. I've been actively avoiding him at all costs. Not sitting near him in classes or meal times. During our own free time, I've been in the library or the astronomy tower.
My brother has been hunting horcruxes under the watchful eye of Dumbledore for a few weeks and sent a letter saying that Dumbledore wants him to return.
"Harry!" I ran when I saw him in the courtyard
"Y/n." He met my run and hugged
It's the first time in ages I've seen him, and so much has gone on.
"Y/n. Dumbledore wants me to meet him in the astronomy tower tonight. He wants you to come as well. "
I smiled "sure"
"Brilliant. Let's go get some dinner. "
We headed towards the hall together, and I sat down with the trio. They told me about some of their adventures.
"Wow, you three fought off dead skeletons?"
"Well, they are actually called Inferius," Hermione corrected
I nodded and smiled. "Did you find one?"
"Well, we found a fake version unfortunately got so much more research to do,"
"Sounds like you guys have got the perfect plan," I said with a smile
"So what's going on with you and Riddle?" Ron said
"Nothing much we have fallen out, so I'm trying to actively avoid him,"
"Explains that." He pointed in his direction, which Mattheo was sitting with that Ravenclaw girl again who was all over him.
Everyone turned around to much of Mattheo pleasure as he smirked at us. I rolled my eyes and turned back around.
"So what happened?" Harry asked, concerned
"Nothing for you lot to worry about. Just that we are back to enemies again,"
The smile on Harry's face grew. You could see that he was trying to hide it, but it was impossible.
"Hide that fucking smile" I said sternly at him
"I can't help it. You knew how I felt about you two being together."
"But Harry, I Lo..." I stopped before I said the words
"You what?" He voice went a little louder
"Nothing. Just drop it. "
He frowned at me but softened his face.
"We all knew he meant something to you y/n, but he is showing his true colours now."
I lightly nodded as I put some more chicken pasta on my folk.
Once we were done with our meal, we headed back towards our respective dorms. I saw everyone sat on the sofas.
"Hey y/n, the boys are busy tonight fancy a pamper session."
I smiled at her. "That sounds lovely, but I'm having a meeting with Dumbledore and Harry tonight."
"What?" Mattheo shouted
I frowned at him but didn't respond. I looked at Pansy again.
"Maybe afterwards?"
"You're having a meeting with Dumbledore tonight?"
I turned to him.
"Like it's none of your business, but yes,"
"Don't go," He snapped
"The last time I checked I didn't take orders from you" I shook my head and started to walk yo my room. His hand grabbed my shoulder.
"Don't go,"
I quickly moved my shoulder out of his grasp
"Again, I don't take orders from you,"
"Y/n" His voice was low, and he was staring straight in my eyes. "Please dont,"
I frowned at him, and I was confused about why he was adamant for me, not to meet them.
"Mattheo, I'm going,"
He rubbed his hands against his face and turned to the boys who were looking worried and in shock.
I walked up to my room to get changed out of my robes and into more something comfortable. I decided on a tank top with jeans. It was a lovely spring evening. Something is playing in the back of my mind. Why was he so concerned about me meeting them.
I left my room and walked through the common room. I waved to everyone before heading down the hallway to the astronomy tower.
"Y/n so glad you could join us" Dumbledore announced
"Professor" I smiled
"So I have just told your brother all the information that he needs to know to find out the rest of the horcruxes"
I nodded but heared footsteps coming from the stairwell. I turned my head towards the door.
"Ah seems that I've ran out of time. Go quickly hide and dont make a sound. That's an order"
Harry grabbed my hand and we hid behind the massive boxes that were placed underneath the floor.
The footsteps got louder, and we were able to see that it was Draco, Mattheo, Theo, Enzo, Blaise, Bellatrix, Snape, and a few other death eaters with their wands out pointing at him.
"Evening everyone," Dumbledore said
"Save it, old man. We've got you surrounded, " Theodore spat
Dumbledore looked towards Draco. "So the dark lord has trusted you to kill me, I've heard."
Dracos hand was shaking, and you could tell by his wand movements.
"You don't have to do it, Draco," Dumbledore spoke to him like it was only them two there
"You don't understand. I have to do this. Otherwise, he'll kill me," He said with a shaky voice
"Do it now, Draco," Bellatrix shouted
Dumbledore looked down at us and gave us a nod.
"Avada Kedavra," Mattheo shouted
A green light was flashed before our eyes, and Dumbledore fell backwards off the tower.
