"We've got the fang," I shouted as we ran towards everyone
Relived faces were all I could see.
"Thank merlin, you're ok," Hermione huffed out
Harry held out his hand, but I held on tight to the fang with my eyebrows fully down.
"No, Harry. I'm doing this, " I said firmly
"Don't be ridiculous, y/n. This thing is surrounded by dark magic."
My face never changed. I'm serious now. I want to help destroy Voldermout, and if that's by stabbing this with the fang, then so be it.
"Get out of my way," I said with attitude as I stepped towards him
"Y/n. You don't understand this thing will put up a fight. It will show or say things that will stop you from destroying it. "
"I'm strong enough to take it, Harry. Please believe me, "
He did a deep breath like he was amitting defeat. He then took a step to the side, and I saw the Diadem.
I walked up to it with big strides like I meant business. I held my arm up, gripping tight hold of the fang, but before I could slam the fang down, a cloud of smoke appeared clouding up everywhere.
A frantically looked around, and I couldn't see anyone.
"Harry, Mattheo, Pansy," I shouted, trying to see anything
Suddenly, a figure came through the shadows. I squinted my eyes. Oh, it Mattheo.
"Matty," I shouted
He walked a little further to me and then stopped with a blanc expression on his face.
"Do you know you are my mission y/n," Mattheo said sternly
"What?" I said, confused
"I don't love you y/n. My mission was to make you fall in love with me."
"You can't be serious right now,"
"How could I, the son of the dark lord, fall in love with a potter?"
My eyes started to fill up with tears, and my heart started to race
"You're pathetic y/n,"
I closed my eyes and felt the tears fall down my cheeks.
"Look at you. Crying because nobody will ever love you. "
I took a deep breath before wiping my tears away. I opened my eyes and started to run towards him.
I kept going and watched how I ran directly through him and slammed the fang down onto the Diadem.
There was a huge black smoke that took over the whole room, and then all of a sudden it disappeared, and I could see everyone.
"Y/n," Harry shouted and ran towards me
I was slumped over the side of the table. My breathing was heavy, and tears were streaming down my face.
I felt his arms wrap around me. They felt like a huge blanket. Safe and warm. Like how they always did when something bad happened to me.
"What happened?" He said, really concerned
I stood up and wiped my face.
"I'm ok," I said with a little smile forced on my face
"Princess?" He said softly, but I couldn't help but sign at hearing him
"Are you ok?" He continued
"I'm fine." I snapped
"Well, you're clearly not."
"I said I'm fine, Riddle." This time, it came out even more angry
"OK, I'll take it from here," Pansy shouted as she took my hand and led me further into the room.
"What happened?" She said softly as she stroked my hands
"It was just Mattheo saying things," I said with a half a smile
"Well, you know that it's not true, right?" She said, looking straight into my eyes
"Actually. The things he was saying were true."
She frowned. "Like?"
"That I was his mission"
She took a deep breath before answering
"It started off like that y/n. You were everyone's mission. But look at us now. We're besties, and you and Mattheo"
She paused before carrying on.
"You're solemates,"
I couldn't help but smile. I know she's right, but it just hurt seeing a version of him saying these things.
"Now go see your man," she pushed me playfully towards the group
I sheepishly walked up to him.
"Are you ok?" He said with worry in his voice
"I love you," I said like my heart was speaking for me
He rushed up to me and wrapped his arms around me.
He looked me like I was my eyes before he smashed his lips against mine. This felt different. Like all our emotions were on full display for everyone to see.
"Alright, love birds, pack it in," Theo shouted
I couldn't help but smile into the kisses I was receiving.
He stopped and looked at me in my eyes.
"Whatever that thing said, don't believe it. I love you, "
"I know Matty, it just took me by shock, that's all."
Suddenly, we felt the room starting to shake, and things started to fall.
"Hogwarts can't take anymore. We need to kill the snake, " Harry shouted
We all nodded and headed towards the door.
Suddenly, it hit us like a bus. The voice of Voldermout.
