Chapter 43

With spells flying all over the place, it was quite easy to lose everyone. Which did happen.

I found myself all alone down a dark corridor with only a little light coming from my wand.

I was frozen trying to listen to any little noises or sounds to indicate anything. I felt like someone was watching me. My sixth sense was going off the chart.

I nearly jumped 6 ft in the air when I heard

"Princess" coming from behind me.

I turned around and lifted my wand up to see Mattheo standing there.

"I told you not to call me that," I said with rage in my voice

"You need to leave. It's not safe for you here,"

"You can't tell me what I can or can't do now, Riddle. I'm helping my brother."

"Y/n. Please just leave"

I shook my head and started to walk off to find the others.

"Please y/n. Leave"

I ignored him and continued to walk.

He grabbed hold of my wrist and spun me around. We were face to face. Inches away. I felt his heavy breathing against my face, and his eyes were dark. He lent in closer, so our foreheads were touching.

"I didn't have a choice."

"Mattheo. You've got to understand that this has gone too far. We're enemies. We always were, and nothing can change that."

"Please don't say it's over,"

I've had relationships in the past where things never worked out, but this felt different. The forbidden love. But I felt my heart breaking.

I lent in closer, giving him a soft kiss on the lips, knowing full well that would be the last time.

"Goodbye, Matty."

I ran towards the lights from the spells. Wiping away my tears as they streamed down my face.

"Y/n there you are. We were getting so worried, " Hermione said, hugging me

I couldn't stop the tears falling down my cheeks, and I think that's why she kept me close. She held onto my hand as we ran towards a door.

We all fell through it.

"Ouch," Ron said, rubbing his arms

"Y/n, are you ok?" Harry said, looking straight at me.

"I just don't know how he could hurt me like this." Tears were filling up my eyes yet again

Harry walks over to you to give you a hug.

"I know we both didn't want to admit it, but you love him, don't you?"

I nodded my head. "I don't think I'll ever stop. That's what hurts me. "

We suddenly snapped back into reality when we heard footsteps running towards us.

We all stood together in the middle of this room while we heard laughter coming closer and closer.

Suddenly, we were surrounded by think black smoke and were taken by different death eaters.

I was being held with an arm around my neck and a wand tightly pressed up to my temple. I tried to get away, but he only held on tighter.

Harry stood in the middle of the room, watching us all being held by the death eaters.

Lucius then walked in.

"Oh, how the tables have turned potter. Give me the prophecy. " He held out his hand

I looked straight at him and shook my head as an indication not to give it to him. I moved my eyes to the right of me and saw Mattheo standing there.

He said something to the death eater, causing them to swap places, so he was now restraining me.

"Don't hurt them," Harry said sternly

"Just give me what I want, and they won't get hurt." He said still with his hand out

Harry then closes his eyes and lets out a breath before handing him the prophecy.

A whisper in my ear said "Sorry Princess"

Oh shit. Was this a set up.

Then I looked up and saw Sirus.

"Don't you ever threaten the potter's again" and punched Lucius in the face.

Suddenly, the room was filled with lights as more and more of the order filtered into the room.

Spells were flying all over the place, and Mattheo let go of me. And turned me around to face him.

"Run"

"No, Mattheo, I've got to help Sirus and Harry,"

"Please go. It's not safe. "

"I don't need or want your protection anymore, Mattheo."

As I looked over, I saw Harry and Sirus in a duel with Malfoy.

Harry did a spell, which caused Sirus to call him James. I was shocked, but also a little smile fell across my face. I love how Harry reminds him of my dad.

I saw Lucius fly across the room. A huge smile on my face when I started to walk over.

"Avada Kedavra" was shouted, and a green light was pointed to Sirus

I stopped in my tracks. I watched how he turned into white smoke before me.

"NO NO NO NO," I shouted

My heart was breaking all over again, but this time, the memories of my past came flooding back.

I screamed as I dropped to my knees.

I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders.

A body then crashed into me. I looked to see Harry also crying.

How am I ever going to recover from this?

I feel broken and betrayed
