As Lucy, Declan, Abel, and Joshua made final preparations for their journey to the Harding pack, the atmosphere in the Sullivan pack's territory crackled with energy. Pack members gathered around, offering words of encouragement and support as they prepared for the daunting task ahead.

My heart swelled with pride as I looked upon the pack, the faces of them reflecting determination and resilience. Each member played a vital role in the pack, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for their unwavering loyalty. They were so kind towards me, when I totally didn't deserve it.

Amidst the bustling activity, my gaze caught Nova standing on the fringes of the crowd, her eyes fixed longingly on Declan. A pang of unease fluttered in my chest as I observed her lingering stare, my instincts prickling with suspicion. But I pushed aside my doubts, focusing instead on the task at hand.

Abel, ever vigilant, noticed my scrutiny of Nova. His keen eyes darted between the two of us. Though he had been ordered to keep his mouth shut by Declan, the tension between Nova and me didn't escape his notice. He knew something was up—and he was right. I had been right all along. But I hadn't voiced my doubts to Declan like that. His Alpha had confided in him, but he couldn't say a thing due to the order. With a subtle nod of acknowledgment, Abel resolved to keep a close eye on the situation, ready to intervene if necessary. He wouldn't let Nova seduce his Alpha—that would break me.

After bidding farewell to the pack, Declan, Abel, Joshua, and I set out on our journey in our wolf forms. Our sleek fur rippled in the moonlight as we traversed the familiar terrain. The scent of pine and earth filled the air, mingling with the cool night breeze as we ventured deeper into the wilderness.

As dawn approached, we found a suitable spot to make camp. The first rays of sunlight painted the sky with hues of pink and gold. I shifted back into my human form, my muscles protesting from the long journey. Together, we gathered firewood and kindling, our movements synchronized as we worked to build a roaring blaze.

Sitting around the crackling campfire, we shared stories and laughter by the warmth of the fire.

As night fell and the stars emerged overhead, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the vastness of the universe. I gazed up at the twinkling constellations; I adored nature so much. I always felt so calm surrounded by it.

As if something was calling me.

And as we settled in for the night, wrapped in the comforting embrace of the wilderness, I fell asleep. I ended up in Declan's arms, of course—he didn't let go of me during the night.

The next day dawned with a soft golden light filtering through the canopy of trees, casting a gentle glow over the campsite. I stirred from my slumber, stretching my limbs as I welcomed the new day. Around me, Declan, Abel, and Joshua began to rouse from their rest, their movements slow and deliberate as they shook off the lingering traces of sleep.

With a yawn, I rose to my feet, my muscles protesting from the previous day's journey. I wasn't used to traveling hour after hour anymore. I stretched my arms above my head, relishing the sensation of warmth as the morning sun kissed my skin. The air was crisp and fresh, filled with the earthy scents of the forest awakening to life.

As we prepared to continue our travels to the Harding pack, I felt a sense of anticipation building within me. Each step brought us closer to our destination, closer to the answers we sought. I couldn't shake the feeling of urgency that gnawed at my insides, driving me forward with renewed determination.

With our supplies packed and our resolve steeled, we set out once more—Declan, Abel, Joshua, and I—our paws pounding against the forest floor in a steady rhythm. The landscape stretched out before us, a patchwork of lush greenery and winding trails.
