𝟕 | 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧

I enter the kitchen and make myself a cup of tea. "Good morning." Care says as she enters the kitchen. "Hey, where's your mom?" I ask. "At work, she had to go early today." Care explains. "Ohh. Do you want tea?" I ask while I pour the hot water in my glass. "Yes please." She replies as she takes a seat at the counter.  I finish making both of our teas, I hand her her cup and I also take a seat. 

"Thanks. So what did you do yesterday? You know, with Kol." Care asks. When I got home yesterday, after the kiss, nobody was there. I actually was kind of tired so I showered and went to sleep right away. I didn't have the chance to tell Care about the kiss yet. "Yea he found me in the library." I reply, blowing to my tea in the hope it cools down a bit. "Sooo, what did you guys do?" "Well we went to the Grill, first we discussed the research on my family.." "Boringgg." Care interrupts me. "If you let me finish it gets interesting." I respond and suddenly she looks very interested. 

"Spill." She says. "Okay so after that we talked a bit about normal stuff, well it depends on what you call normal. We stayed their for a while, we had a drink and later I decided it was time to go home." "Ooh now it gets interesting." Care says. "Anyway, he insisted on walking me home because it was dark and anything could happen." I say, but Care interrupts me, again. "That is so cute." She exclaims and I playfully roll my eyes. 

"So I think I can speak for us both and say we had a really great time yesterday. We talked a little on our way to our house, but not much we were very quiet, but not like awkward quiet, more like a happy, peaceful quiet if you know what I mean." She nods and I pause to take a sip of my tea. She's gonna explode when she hears this.

"And then we arrived at the house and he walked me to the porch. He suggested that we would hang out again some time soon, to which I obviously agreed. And then it happened, we kissed." I say and I drink my tea. "You what now?!" Care practically yells, like I just said I was pregnant. "We kissed." I reply. "Yeah I heard you, I was just surprised. But oh my god that is so romantic." Care says with a dreamy voice. "So what are you two exactly, are you guys dating?" "Honestly, no idea. I mean it also could just be a kiss." "Yeah right." "I don't know Care, I don't know." I say.

I get out of me car and I walk towards the Mikaelson house. Caroline said I should go and see Kol. I have no idea what I'm even supposed to say or do but I will see. But I'll have Rebekah as back-up plan, and then I can tell her about what happened. I approach the front door and knock.

"Oh hey Aurora." Rebekah says who is about to leave the house. "Hey Bex." "Please come in." She says, stepping aside so I can enter. "The boys are in the living room, you know where to find it." Rebekah says and she walks out of the door. "Wait where are you going?" I call after her but she already speeded away. Well there goes my back-up plan, no excuse for a visit anymore.

I enter the living room where Nik is sketching and Kol is complaining I guess. Nik looks up from his sketchbook since he is the one who notices me first. "Hello love, what brings you here?" He asks, which makes Kol look in my direction. Great what am I gonna say now. "Hi." I say and I give them both a smile. "Please take a seat." Nik says as he gets up and offers me a drink.  I take a seat on the couch, and Nik hands me a glass of water. "Hi." I say to Kol and I give him a smile. "Hi." He responds and he smiles back at me. Okay well this is not awkward.

"Thanks." "So with what may we assist you?" Nik asks. "Well uh, I came to see Bex, but she left the moment arrived and said you guys were in the living room." I improvise. "Ah. How is Caroline?" Nik asks and I frown. I know he "fancies" her as he would say, it is so obvious. "Well she is doing just fine." I reply and he seems pleased with the answer.
