A camp half blood experience¹

We break a bus

The next day, we headed out for the bus, which was supposed to help us get out of New York at least, since we had to get to California.

At camp, people were saying stuff like "good luck" and other hopeful stuff like that.

We had to walk to a bus station, which was about 3 miles away.

Demigods were not supposed to have phones, so we couldn't call an Uber.

It was just Annabeth, Percy, Grover, and I, a bunch of 12 year olds (besides Grover, who was 24) just walking on the side of the road with no adult supervision

It must've looked weird for the cars passing by.

I was wearing my camp t shirt underneath a long black sleeve jacket without a hood that said "New York City" on it in white print.

I was wearing long pants, they were light blue and had holes near the knees.

(Everyone else was wearing what they did in the show)

We made it to the bus station right in time.

People were entering the bus. We went on the bus and went to the very back.

I sit next to Annabeth, im on the window side, and Percy and Grover sit next to each other.

When the bus departures, we stay silent the whole way.

After a while, the bus makes a stop at a gas station.

We all start to get it, but Annabeth stops us.

"I'll go. You guys stay here."

Percy responded with, "What!? that's not fair, I think we should all be able to go."

"Well, you're safe here, in the back of the bus. The stench makes it hard for monsters to find you, " Annabeth said.

"Can I at least go?" I ask.

"No."

I roll my eyes and look out the window as Annabeth goes into the gas station.

After a while, she comes back. When she is halfway to her seat, she stops and seems like she is talking to someone.

When she is back at the seat, she looks terrified.

"We have to get off this bus," she says.

"What, why?" I ask.

"She's here."

"What? Who's here? " Percy asks.

"Alecto."

So basically, my worst teacher of all time is here. Great.

Percy and Grover start to find a way out.

They break the window, and an alarm in the bus starts to go off.

The bus driver instructs everyone to go out the door, but then we see Alecto standing in the path of the buses walkway.

We start to go to exit emergency exit.

When we are over there, I see Annabeth throw a dagger at Alecto.

I couldn't see if Alecto vanished or not because seconds later, the window to the emergency exit shadders and another winged monster came through.

I fall to the floor.

The monster is walking near us, ready for attack, but then it turns to dust.

I was so caught up in the fact that the monster was there that I forgot Annabeth was still there, with her dagger.

There was silence on the bus, we were the only ones on the bus.

"We should probably sneak away before the cops get us," Annabeth says, breaking the silence.

I start to stand up. "Yeah, so were fugitives now?"

"Yup," Annabeth says just as we hear sirens.

I was shocked, that was really fast for the police. Usually, the police take a while to get somewhere.

We started going out the window that had been broken and sneak run away.

We ran into the nearest forest and walked in it for about an hour.

Then, as we were walking in the woods, I realized. "We forgot all our stuff."

"Yeah." Grover responded.

"They won't know it's ours, though, probably." Percy adds.

"They'll know its me," I say in a sad tone.

"What do you mean?" Percy asks.

"I had a picture of me and my stepmother in the luggage. I bring it almost everywhere," I say in a sad tone still.

Suddenly, we all come to a stop when we see a path.

It is a clear path, and we decide to follow the trail, hoping it would lead to a stopping point.

I was tired. The sun was starting to go down.

We started walking down the trail, into unknown territory..
