A camp half blood experience¹

Medusa

We kept walking on the trail. It was a very, very long trail.

It was almost dark, and all of us were so tired that we couldn't walk straight.

We went off the trail a little and found a spot to sleep.

It may not have been the best, but it was something.

We decided one person would take watch at a time, I was the last person.

I fell asleep almost emediatally.

**the next day**

We were walking on the trail again, and we were now looking for food.

Then, suddenly, we saw a place.

We were skeptical at first, but we walked closer to it.

I couldn't read the sign because of my dyslexia.

I started to look around and I emediatally saw a garden of statues.

"Guys," I say, looking in their direction.

They turn around and see the garden too.

"Oh," Percy said, shocked. "Well, who would do that?"

Suddenly, Alecto shows up out of nowhere.

"Man, it would've been so much easier if you just agreed," Alecto said.

"Wait, what deal?" Percy asked, sounding as confused as I was.

Then suddenly someone came out of the shop. They had a hat over their hair.

Annabeth, Grover, and Alecto looked away from the girl.

"It's Medusa, don't look into her eyes," Grover said.

Percy and I both looked away from Medusa.

"Hello, son of Poseidon, and daughter of Poseidon and Aphrodite. I'm Medusa," she said. "Come in, lunch is cooking."

We went in and took a seat at the table, still looking away from Medusa.

"H-how did you know I was the daughter of Poseidon and Aphrodite?"I asked.

Percy added, "Yeah, how did you know we were forbidden children?"

Medusa chuckled. "How long did you think that secret would keep?"

Oh gods.. if everyone knew we were forbidden kids.. then oh my God's we are in serious danger.

"So, um.. how did you become.. this.. no offense," I asked, trying to sound polite.

"Poseidon and I were sorta dating," She started, "and Athena declared I had embarrassed her, and I needed to be punished. So she turned me into this."

"No," Annabeth said, "I was told that you and Poseidon were uninvited to be in my mothers temple. She was embarrassed by you and angry."

"Athena is a liar," Medasa said in a stricter tone.

Then we heard beeping.

"Oh, the food must be done. Percy and y/n, can you help me get the food?" Medusa said.

"Um sure," Percy said, and we both started getting up.

We walked cautiously to the kitchen where Medusa led us.

Medusa starts getting the food with her back turned from us as Percy and I stand awkwardly in the doorway.

"So, you're both children of Poseidon?" She says, breaking the silence.

"Uh, yeah.." I say.

"And you're on a quest to retrieve the masterbolt you supposedly, why don't I make you an offer. The question mates for the bolt?"
