Chapter 16: The Roof (EchoKits PoV)

I stayed calm, as that was what I had been told to do. When it was that there was a snake nearby. As I did in fact hope that my sister had remembered to do the same.
As much as I was annoyed by my sister at often times. I also knew that I did in fact not want her to get hurt. As I then did in fact go and start to hear my sister speak out loud, at that.
"I'm scared! I! I want to go back!" She did in fact just seem to say. As it was that it did in fact just seem to be that it was.
That she then did in fact begin to start to take a few steps back. As it was that I then did in fact hear the snake hiss. Just as it was that she had done as such a thing like that.
I feared for the life of my sister, all at once, at that. As it was that I was about to get ready to run and protect her. When it was that I heard the voice of MoonStar go and speak, all at the exact same time too.
"It's okay... Calm down every one... It is a black snake... It is not poisonous... Just leave it be... And it will leave you alone..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at once.
As it was that I was not all too sure what that had meant. And as to just how my father was so calm. When he had the life of his own daughter in parel right now.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. My sister did in fact just seem to stay still. As it was that I did in fact go and speak back to my father with my head tilted.
"We need to help her! The snake could kill her!" I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that I did in fact feel like my sister was in a lot of trouble right now.
As it was that I did in fact know as to just how weak she was. As it was that I did in fact get ready to move forward. As it was that I then did in fact go and hear RabbitPaw seem to speak, all of the sudden.
"No... You are fine... She is fine... Stop freaking her out EchoKit... MoonStar is right... That is a friendly snake..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that he did in fact go and smile as he had said that. As it was that he did in fact nod his head on over to HeartKit. As it was that it did in fact seem to calm her down a fair bit, all at once.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact been like so. I then did in fact begin to start to go and blink my eyes. As it was that I then spoke back to RabbitPaw, all at once.
"But I thought all snakes were killers..." I did in fact just seem to say. As I did in fact have my head tilted at him as I had said that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. My father did in fact go and roll his eyes a bit. As he also did in fact chuckle just as it was that he then spoke back to me.
"It's not a killer... But it isn't going to be your friend either... Just leave it alone and it will leave you alone too..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that my sister was still a little bit hesitant. As it was that she was not all too sure what to do. But luckily for her, she did in fact seem to stand still other wise.
Just as soon as it was that it seemed to be like that. That was when it was that I then did in fact begin to start to see the snake slither off. As it was that my sister then spoke back just as soon as it was gone.
"That was close... I don't like going out side father... It is too dangerous... I think the camp is safer... I want to go back there..." She did in fact just seem to say, all at once.
As it was clear to me that she was trying to convince our father. As to the fact that she was too scared to seem to do any thing. As it was that it did in fact kind of upset me that it was like so, all at once.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case. That was when it was that I then did in fact squint my eyes back at her. As I then did in fact go and speak back to her just as soon as it was like so.
"Come on HeartKit! You can't be scared all of the time! You can't just live in the camp your entire life! You have to go out side and explore and live at some point!" I did in fact just seem to say, all at once.
As it was that I knew that I had fair point on what I had said. As it was that my sister then seemed to lower her head to the ground. As she realized that what it was that I had said was in fact true.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. I then did in fact go and start to nod a bit. As it was that I did in fact go and hear my sister speak back to me, at that.
"I... I think that I can just work with LimpFoot... I can be her apprentice!" She did in fact just seem to say. As it was that she then did in fact go and look at MoonStar just as soon as she had said that.
She seemed to have a scared but hopeful look on her face. Just as soon as it was that she had said that. As it was that I did in fact do my best to try to stay calm.
Just as soon as it was that I then did in fact see my father nod his head. And he then did in fact speak back to her in a calm voice. As it was that I then did in fact go and listen as to just what he had to say, at that.
"That is fine HeartKit... We will go back to camp... You are still very young, and this sort of life isn't for every one..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that it had in fact just been like so. I then did in fact start to get a bit angry, at that. As it was that it did in fact seem like my sister seemed to ruin every thing.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. I then did in fact go and start to shake my head. As I did in fact speak back to her, all at once, at that.
"So you want to live like a kittypet then? Because LimpFoot still has to go out side and get herbs! You can't just hide for ever... You have to go to gathering and the moon pool too!" I did in fact just seem to say.
As it was that I did in fact know that LimpFoot did a lot more. Than the fact that she did in fact sort through her herbs all day. As it was that I did in fact just seem to stay calm just as soon as I had said that.
The others did in fact just seem to stop as I had said that. As it was that I did in fact go and start to hear RabbitPaw go and speak. Just as it was that I then did in fact go and listen as to just what he had to say, at that.
"She does have a fair point MoonStar... She can't just hide in the medicine den for her entire life... LimpFoot isn't going to live for ever, and at some point she needs to be her successor..." He did in fact seem to say.
As it was that he did in fact seem to be on my side, none the less. As I did in fact smile just as it was like so. As I then had a smirk on my face just as I looked at my sister.
My father did in fact seem to think for some time. As it was that he then did in fact go and start to suddenly blink his eyes. Just as it was that he did in fact go and speak back to HeartKit, all at once, at that.
"Alright HeartKit... I am giving you one last chance to look and stay with us... We are almost there already, and I will keep you safe... If you want to go back than I under stand though, but you won't get this chance again until you are an apprentice..." He seemed to say to her.
As it was that he then did in fact go and squint his eyes at her. As he did in fact let her know that it was. That this was going to be her only chance to go and see the world.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. I then did in fact go and get my mind off of that. As it was that I then did in fact also start to speak to my sister, my self.
"Come on HeartKit... Don't ruin this for the both of us... This will be great! I promise!" I did in fact just seem to say, all of the sudden.
As it was that it felt a bit irrational for me to say that. As I knew that I could not say for a fact that it was. That this was going to be amazing.
But at the same time as well, I felt like I knew it was. As it was that I let out a bit of a rough sigh all of the sudden as it was like so. And I then did in fact also seem to start to hear my sister speak back to me as well.
"Alright... Fine... But if I see another snake, I am going back!" She did in fact just seem to say. As it was that she did in fact go and shiver just as soon as she had said that.
As it was that she did in fact go and look back as to where it was. That the black snake had in fact even just been at. As it was that I did in fact go and look my self just to make sure that it was truly gone.
As it was that I just seemed to stare for a bit of some time. I then did in fact go and start to hear the voice of MoonStar go and speak. As he did in fact seem to be excited just as soon as it had been like so.
"Alright! Great choice! Let's go and take you kits in to the two leg place... I will show you what the lake looks like as well as our territory!" He did in fact just seem to say, at that.
As it was that he had said as to just what he had said. That was when it was that he then began to move. As it was that he did in fact go and start to head over to RabbitPaw.
Just as soon as it was that he had done as such a thing like that. I then did in fact go and see my friend blink his eyes just a few times. As it was that he did in fact also seem to go and speak out loud just as soon as it had in fact been like so, at that.
"Alright! Am I good to go across the fence now MoonStar?" He did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that he did in fact tilt his head at my father just as soon as it was that he had said that to him.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. That was when it was that he then looked up at the fence. As it was that he blinked his eyes a few times him self.
Before it was that he then did in fact go and speak back to the young tom. As it was that I did in fact go and start to look my self. As it was that I did in fact still listen as to just what my father had to say too.
"Yes... It should be good for you to go right now if you want to... I am going to look for a small hole and dig if I need to for the kits to go in..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at once.
Just as soon as it was that he had said as to just what he had said. That was when it was that I then squinted my eyes. As it was that I felt like I could do it if RabbitPaw could.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. I then did in fact go and blink my eyes a few times. As it was that I did in fact also start to go and speak back to him, all at the exact same time too.
"You don't need to dig a hole for me MoonStar! I can jump over the fence too!" I did in fact just seem to say to him, all at once. As I did in fact have my head held high just as soon as it was that I had said that.
Just as soon as it was that I had said as to what I had said. I then did in fact go and see every one look at me. As their eyes seemed to grow wide as if it was that I was crazy.
I was not at all too sure as to just what was wrong. As it was that I did in fact seem to have my eyes wide my self. As it was that my sister then did in fact go and start to speak to me, all at the exact same time too.
"You can't jump over that fence EchoKit! Look how small we are! And look how tall the fence is!" She did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I did in fact seem to see her whiskers move. Just as soon as it was that she had said that to me. As it was that I did in fact not seem to be all too happy by what she had said, none the less.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. I then did in fact go and just seem to squint my eyes just a few times. As it was that I did in fact also just seem to start to go and speak up too.
"Yeah... You might not be able to HeartKit! But I'm sure that I can!" I did in fact just seem to say. As I once again had my head held high just as soon as I had said that.
My sister did in fact go and start to have her eyes grow wider. As it was that she did in fact go and look at the fence. As it was that she did in fact seem to shiver as well, at that.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case. I then did in fact go and start to move on ahead. As it was that I did in fact hear my father speak too, at that.
"No EchoKit... Your sister is right... You can't possibly jump over that just yet... I am interested to see if RabbitPaw can do it..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at once.
As it was that he then did in fact go and look at RabbitPaw. As it was that his eyes were squinted at him. Just as soon as it was that he had in fact even just said that.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. That was when it was that I then did in fact go and start to look my self. As I did in fact realize as to just how high up the fence was from this close up.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. I then did in fact go and also seem to gulp just a little bit, all at once. As it was that I did in fact also seem to start to go and hear RabbitPaw speak just as soon as it was like so.
"Don't worry! I can jump high! There is a reason they call me RabbitPaw!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he had a big smile on his face just as soon as he had said that.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. I then did in fact go and shiver my self, at that. As it was that I did in fact go and start to worry for him, none the less.
I knew that he was still a lot smaller than my father was. As it was that I did in fact do my best to act as calm as I felt like I could. Just as soon as it was that I then did in fact go and hear my sister speak quietly from close by, all of the sudden.
"Yeah... Paw is given to all apprentices..." She seemed to say, all at once, at that. As it was that I did in fact just seem to do my best to act as calm as I felt like I could, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I did in fact seem to think on that. That was when it was that I did in fact go and start to see my friend run. As it was that as he did in fact get closer to the fence, all of the sudden.
I then did in fact just seem to start to see him jump, all of the sudden. As I was quite a bit surprised as to how far he had jumped. As I then did in fact go and seem to simply see him reach his paws to the top.
How ever, he didn't seem to get his back paws up, all at once. As it was that he was hanging on by the front of his paws, none the less. As I then did in fact go and start to freak out as I then yelled out loud.
"MoonStar! Help him! He's going to fall!" I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I did in fact go and look at my father just as I had said that.
My father did in fact just seem to have his eyes grow wide. As it was that he did in fact not seem to do what it was that I had said. As he simply just seemed to stand still and watch as my friend struggled.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. That was when it was that I then did in fact go and hear RabbitPaw speak. As he did in fact gone start to pull him self further up, never the less.
"Relax EchoKit... I told you I had it!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he did in fact seem to be on top of the fence with all of his paws, all at the exact same time too.
I did in fact just seem to be a bit more calm as it was like so. Though I still felt like I wasn't happy with my father, all at once. As it was that I then did in fact go and squint my eyes at him as I then spoke to him.
"Why didn't you help him still? He could have gotten badly hurt!" I did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I was not all too happy with my father as I had said that.
My father seemed to still have his eyes wide just as I had said it. As he then seemed to simply blink his eyes just a few times. As he then also began to speak back to me as well.
"No... He would have been fine even if he fell EchoKit... You have to test cats some times to make them stronger... And he passed his test!" He did in fact just seem to say, at that.
As it was that he did in fact go and nod his head to my friend. Just as soon as it was that he had said that. As he made sure that he had also heard what he had said.
I still was not all too happy with what my father had done. As I did in fact just seem to grunt back at him. Just as I then also began to hear RabbitPaw speak up, all at once.
"I'm fine! Don't worry! Now we need to get you 2 across!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time as well. As he then nodded his head to my father, at that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. My father also did in fact go and nod back to RabbitPaw. As he then also began to turn his head away as well.
Just as soon as he had done as such a thing like that. I then did in fact go and seem to see him move. As it was that I did in fact also hear him speak up, as well.
"Alright... There is a hole right here... You should be able to fit through that! RabbitPaw will be on the other side to make sure it is safe!" He did in fact just seem to say.
As it was that he did in fact seem to look over to RabbitPaw. To make sure that it was in fact safe, just as it was that he had said. As just before he had the chance to do as such.
RabbitPaw had already seemed to have jumped down. As it was that I had to assume that it meant that it was in fact safe. Just as I then began to hear my sister go and speak up, all at the exact same time too.
"Alright! I've got this! Me first!" She did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As she now began to start to seem to get excited as to just what we were doing.
I rolled my eyes at my sister as soon as it was like so. As it was that I was about to complain that I should go first. But I also felt like I should be happy that she was still in on this.
I then did in fact go and watch, as she easily made it through. As it was that I did in fact hear my father speak to me as it was like so. As he did in fact give me a nudge forward, all at the exact same time too.
"Alright EchoKit... It's your turn now..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he did in fact make sure that I knew that I needed to move.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. That was when it was that I then did in fact go and nod my head to him my self. As I then did in fact also go and speak back to him, all at once.
"Alright... I've got this..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that I did in fact let out a rough sigh just as I had said that. As the hole was a lot smaller for me since I was a bit bigger than my sister.
I did my best to try to stay calm, as I then did in fact go under it. And I then did in fact begin to start to get through it, all at once. As just as it was that I had got my body half way through, all at once.
I then realized that I was in fact stuck, all of the sudden. As I then did in fact begin to start to freak out and panic. As I then did in fact go and start to yell out loud, at that.
"Help me! Help me! I'm stuck!" I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I did in fact just seem to see RabbitPaw rush over to me on the other side.
His eyes did in fact just seem to grow wide in worry as it was like so. As just as it was that he did in fact seem to draw closer to me. He then did in fact roll his eyes at me.
I was not all too sure as to just why it was like so. As it was that in the end, he seemed to go and chuckle. Just as it was that he did in fact go and speak back to me too.
"No you aren't EchoKit... Stop pushing up so hard... There's plenty of room down below..." He did in fact just seem to say. As I was not all too sure how he was so calm right now.
It took me a few moments to take in just what he had said to me. As it was that by the time that I finally did. I then did in fact realize that he was correct, all at once.
I suddenly did in fact just seem to feel quite a bit stupid. As I then did in fact go and lower my head to the ground all at once. As I then did in fact also just seem to go and speak up, all at the exact same time too.
"Oh yeah... Right... Sorry..." I did in fact just seem to say, all of the sudden. As it was that I then did in fact go and do as to just what he had said.
As it was that I then did in fact go and easily push my self through. Just as it was that I then joined my best friend and my sister. On the other side of the fence, at that.
As it was that I seemed to stare at them both for some time. I then did in fact also go and start to hear my father seem to go and speak. As I then did in fact also listen as to just what it was that he had to say, at that.
"Maybe this was a bad idea... Maybe you both were too young for this!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was clear to me that he was talking to both me and my sister. As it was that I did in fact seem to be a bit surprised all at once. As it was that me and my sister then did in fact just seem to go and speak out loud, at that.
"No I'm not!" We both did in fact just seem to say at the exact same time too, at that. As we both looked at each other with a smile on our faces just as we had said that.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. I then did in fact hear my father let out a rough sigh. As he then did in fact go and jump down by our side, at that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. I then did in fact seem to calm my self down. As RabbitPaw then began to start to go and speak up, all at once, at that.
"MoonStar? How are we going to get them on top of the fence to see what it is like around our land?" He did in fact just seem to say. As it was that he had his eyes wide just as soon as it was that he had said that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. My eyes did in fact start to grow quite a bit wide. As it was that I realized that he had a fair point on just what it was that he had in fact even just said.
How ever, my father didn't seem to be concerned one bit. As he did in fact go and nod his head back at RabbitPaw, at that. As he then also began to speak back to him as well.
"We aren't going on the fence... We are going on the roof..."
