Chapter 20: Proud Of You (EchoKits PoV)

I stood there, as my paws seemed to feel weak. As I knew what was about to happen, all at once. As I knew as to just how excited, but also how scared I seemed to feel.
All of the cats that weren't in the clearing already. Did in fact seem to leave their dens and join us. As it was that it seemed to be a special event that was taking place.
I did my best to try to stay as calm as I felt like I could. As it was that I did in fact just seem to close my eyes. Just as it was that I did in fact also go and speak to myself, at that.
"Please Starclan... Give me a good mentor... Like OwlThroat maybe... Maybe I will be the next deputy!" I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had said as to just what I had said. That was when it was that I did in fact hear my father speak. As it was that I opened my eyes to hear what he had to say.
"As I am sure all of you know... Both of my daughters have reached the age where it is time for them to become apprentices!" He did in fact just seem to say.
As it was that he did in fact go and smile as he had said it. As he did in fact nod his head to both me and HeartKit, at that. Who were both at the end of the clearing, all at once.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. I then saw all of our clanmates look at us. As it was that I shivered just as it was that my sister began to say something quietly.
"Oh goodness... This sure is a lot of pressure..." She did in fact just seem to say, at that. As it was clear that she was in fact just as worried as I felt like I was, at that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. I then did in fact go and nod my head to my sister. As I did in fact speak to her to try to calm her down, at that.
"Don't worry HeartKit... We have got this... We are about to be paws!" I did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I did in fact keep my head held high just as I had said that.
As it was that I had said just what I had said to her. She then did in fact also go and lift her head up. As the both of us showed the entire clan that we were strong.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. That was when it was that I then did in fact go and start to hear MoonStar speak. As I then turned my head over to him to hear what he had to say, at that.
"Alright! Now that is over with! HeartKit, and EchoKit! Please join me at the high rock! Your mentors and new names shall be given!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that he did in fact go and nod to us both. Just as soon as it was that he had said that. As I still seemed to see that everyone was looking at us both as it was like so.
I did in fact seem to be a little bit scared to move forward at first. Until it was that I heard the voice of our mother. As I then did in fact look at her and hear what she had to say.
"Come on you 2! You've got this!" She did in fact just seem to say, all at once, at that. As it was that she did in fact push my sister forward just as soon as she had said that.
As it was that I did in fact seem to see my sister moving up. I did in fact realize I didn't want to be left behind, all at once. As I then did in fact begin to start to go and walk with her, all at once.
As it was that I did in fact go up with her to the high rock. I then did in fact just seem to hear her speak. As it was that she seemed to speak ever so softly, at that.
"I didn't realize that this was going to be so difficult... I thought that I was ready for this..." She did in fact just seem to say, all at once.
As it was that I could hear her breathing very heavy. As it was clear to me my sister was having one of her panic attacks. As I then quickly went over to her and rubbed my pelt against hers.
As it was that I had done as such a thing like that. I then did in fact go and speak back to her softly. As it was that I did in fact once again do my best to try to calm her down.
"Like I said HeartKit... We've got this, it is me and you, we have got this together as sisters..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at once.
As it was that it once again did in fact seem to make her smile. As I knew as to the bond we had grown together. Over the last few months, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. That was when it was that I did in fact just seem to see her nod back to me. As it was that she once again spoke back to me as it was like so.
"Yes... You are right EchoKit... I already know all of the herbs... This should be easy..." She did in fact just seem to say, all of the sudden.
As it was that she had said as to just what she had said. I then did in fact go and start to join her. As we did in fact go and get to the base of the high rock, at that.
As it was that we had in fact made it to this point. I then did in fact go and hear our father speak. As we both looked at him and listened as to just what it was that he had to say.
"Are you ready my daughters? Are you ready to become apprentices, and start a new chapter in your life?" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that he did in fact seem to have a spark in his eyes. As it did in fact seem to once again excite me. As it was that I did in fact remember as to just what we were doing.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. I then did in fact go and nod back to him. And I did in fact go and speak back to him, all at the exact same time too.
"Yes MoonStar... I am ready... We are ready..." I did in fact just seem to say to him, all at once. As it was that I did in fact have a smile on my face just as I had said that.
As I did in fact also go and look at my sister as well. As I did in fact go and nod to her just as it was like so. As just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case.
I then did in fact go and start to see her nod too. As it was that MoonStar then began to speak. As it was that he did in fact just seem to speak out loud, all at once.
"Alright then... Join me on top of the high rock, as you now become apprentices, and I will give you your new mentors!" He did in fact just seem to say.
As it was that he did in fact bow his head beneath the high rock. Just as soon as it was that he had in fact just said that. As it was that I did in fact go and start to nod my head back to him as it was like so.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. Me and HeartKit did in fact walk up to the top of the high rock with him. As I did in fact speak to my self as I realized how hard it did in fact seem to be.
"This is heavy... I've got this..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time as well. As it was that I did in fact slowly climb my way to the top with my sister.
Just as soon as it was that we had in fact made our way up. That was when it was that I then did in fact go and hear MoonStar speak again. As it was that I did in fact go and listen as to just what he had to say.
"First I will start with the obvious one to build the suspense! HeartKit! Are you ready to become and apprentice!" He did in fact say to my sister, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that everyone in the clan knew what my father had meant. As it was that we did in fact all know she was going to be a medicine cat. Just as it was that he had in fact just seemed to have said that.
My sister did in fact seem to be okay with that of course. As it was that she then did in fact being to start to go and nod back to MoonStar. Just as it was that I did in fact hear her speak back to him, at that.
"Yes MoonStar... I am ready... Starclan shall guide me through!" She did in fact just seem to say. As it was that she did in fact go and nod her head in front of her, at that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. I then did in fact go and start to move on ahead. As it was that I did in fact see my sister stand up with MoonStar.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact been like that. MoonStar did in fact go and nod back to my sister. Just as it was that he did in fact go and speak back to her too.
"Very well HeartKit! You shall now be known as HeartPaw! And your mentor shall be LimpFoot!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case. He then did in fact go and lift his head up to the sky, along with my sister. As the entire clan did in fact go and start to shout her name as I joined in as well.
"HeartPaw! HeartPaw! HeartPaw!" We all did in fact just seem to yell, all of the sudden. As it was that we all did in fact seem to be having a good time as it was like so.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. I did my best to try to not get jealous as I knew my sister had gotten her role first. As it was that I knew she was apprentice whilst I was still a kit.
However, I knew that wouldn't last for too much longer. As I did in fact seem to see LimpFoot heading our way. As she had a smile on her face for once just as she did in fact go and speak back to our father.
"Thank you MoonStar! I will do my best to train your daughter and teach her all that I know of the ways of StarClan, and the ways of a medicine cat!" She did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that she had said as to just what she had said. That was when it was that I then did in fact see her nod to my sister. As it was that my sister did in fact just seem to be a bit lost as to just what was going on at first.
Until it was that my father did in fact go and speak to her quietly. As the entire clan did in fact just seem to stand there in silence. As it was that I was just barely able to hear what it was that he had to say.
"That means to get down HeartPaw..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he did in fact go and roll his eyes at her just as he had said that.
I did in fact just seem to hear the rest of the clan chuckle a bit. As my sister did in fact have her eyes grow wide in embarrassment. Just as it was that she did in fact nod her head and speak back to him.
"Oh! Right! Sorry!" She did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As she did in fact go and lower her head to the ground just as she had said as to what she had said.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. I then did in fact go and start to move ahead. As it was that I did in fact go and simply realize what was coming next.
Just as it was that my father did in fact go and speak up again. I then did in fact go and look down at the large clan that was in front of me. As I did in fact let out a rough sigh just as I heard what MoonStar had to say.
"Alright EchoKit! It is your turn now! Are you ready for this!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he did in fact go and turn his head right on over to me as he had said that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. I then did in fact go and blink my eyes a few times at first, at that. As it was that I then did in fact go and nod my head back to him in the end.
Just as soon as I had done as such a thing like that. I then did in fact just seem to go and speak up fairly loud. As it was that I made sure that everyone heard what I had to say.
"Of course MoonStar! I was born ready for this moment!" I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that I did in fact just seem to lift my head up high all at once.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. I then did in fact go and hear a she cat speak from inside of the clearing. As it was that I realized that it was AngelRing, all at the exact same time too.
"She is such a brave cat! I absolutely love her!" She did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that I did in fact go and look at the she cat just as she had said that.
I kind of felt like she wouldn't be a bad choice for a mentor for me. As I knew she was the mate of one of the most respected cats in the clan. Though I still knew that it wasn't OwlThroat, none the less.
I did my best to try to stay as calm as I felt like I could. As I then did in fact go and hear my father speak. Just as I did in fact look at him with my eyes wide, all at once.
"Alright EchoKit! You shall now be known by EchoPaw! And your mentor will be TreeTooth!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As it was that he did in fact go and nod his head into the clearing. Just as soon as it was that he had said as to just what he had said. As it was that I did in fact just seem to be as surprised as the rest of the clan.
As there seemed to be a gasp of shock from the entire clan. As to the fact that it was that he had named who he had named. As I did in fact seem to hear one cat go and speak, all at the exact same time too, at that.
"TreeTooth? But isn't TreeTooth an outsider?" I did in fact seem to hear a cat say, all at the exact same time as well, at that.
As it was that it did in fact seem to make the entire clan feel uncomfortable. As it was that it did in fact make me feel the same way as well, at that. As it was that I did in fact feel like I had been let down quite a bit, all at once.
I knew that I was mature enough to not complain about it however. As the entire clearing seemed to stay dead silent. Until it was that I heard the loud voice of RabbitPaw begin to shout, all at once.
"EchoPaw! EchoPaw!" I did in fact just seem to hear him say, all at the exact same time as well. As it was that he did in fact have his head held high for me, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I had seen my best friend do like so. I then did in fact go and start to smile. As the rest of the clan also did in fact begin to start to chant my name, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that it had seemed to have been that way for some time. And it was that TreeTooth had seemed to have come close to me. I then did in fact go and start to hear him speak up to everyone, at that.
"I know that many of you still may not know me all too well, and I know that I am not from around here... But I am from other clans just like yours... I had a mentor myself once, and I will train EchoPaw just as I was trained! She shall be a strong and worthy cat of Windclan!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at once.
As it was that he did in fact go and nod to everyone, at that. As it was that he had said what he had said. He did in fact seem to put away all of the tension and the unease.
As it was that I did in fact go and hear my father speak to him. As it was that he did in fact seem to be quite a bit quiet. Just as soon as it was that it had been like so.
"Well said TreeTooth... I know that you will do well with my daughter... I chose you for a reason..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As it was that just as soon as it was that I had heard what my father had in fact just said. I then did in fact begin to start to calm myself down. As though I did not know this tom cat well like my mother did.
I did in fact kind of feel happy that he was my mentor. As it was that I then did in fact go and jump down to him, at that. As it was that I did in fact go and start to speak to my mentor, just as it was like so.
"So! Where will we go to first? What are the plans?" I did in fact just seem to say to him, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As it was that I had my eyes wide in excitement. Just as soon as it was that it had in fact been like so. As it was that I did in fact go and start to simply see his eyes grow wide.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like that. That was when it was that I then saw the tom cat go and nod his head. As it was that he rolled his eyes as well, just as soon as he then spoke to me.
"Well... First your father has to close off the gathering... So first thing you must learn is patience..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at once.
As it was that I realized that he had a fair point on what he had said. As I did in fact lower my head just as my sister had done. As it was that I was quite a bit embarrassed myself, never the less, at that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. I then did in fact go and let out a rough sigh. As I did in fact also go and speak back to TreeTooth, at that.
"Right... Sorry..." I did in fact just seem to say to him, all at once. As it was that my eyes were still wide just as soon as I had said that.
He did in fact just seem to go and nod his head back to me. Just as it was that I then did in fact go and hear MoonStar speak. As it was that it seemed to once again draw everyone's attention to him, at that.
"Alright! This meeting is now over! Everyone is free to go and do whatever they like for the rest of this day!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. That was when it was that I then began to move. As it was that I did in fact go and start to simply nod my head, at that.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case. That was when it was that I then did in fact hear TreeTooth speak to me again. As it was that I looked at him and listened as to what he had to say.
"Alright... Let's go now... We will go to your sister and LimpFoot first to get this all figured out..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time as well.
As it was that he did in fact go and nod his head in front of us. As to just where it was that my sister was at. Along with LimpFoot and MintNose, all at the exact same time too.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. And the both of us were just about the head that way. That was when it was that I did in fact go and hear RabbitPaw speak up, all at once.
"Hey EchoPaw! Congratulations! I was wondering TreeTooth, if I might be able to join you in her first patrol?" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that he did in fact seem to have his eyes wide. Just as soon as it was that he had said that to him. As it was clear that he hoped that my mentor would in fact say yes.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. TreeTooth did in fact also seem to have his eyes grow wide as well. As he then did in fact go and shake his head back to RabbitPaw, all at once, at that.
"I'm sorry RabbitPaw... But I need to have her full focus and attention on me while we are doing this... I am sure you will get plenty of patrols together soon enough!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at once.
Just as soon as it was that he had said as to just what he had said. That was when it was that I then did in fact see my friends head dip low. As it was that I did in fact seem to see that he was a bit sad.
I kind of was a little bit sad myself, none the less. As I knew that he was one of the things I was most excited for, at that. As it was that I then did in fact hear him speak back to TreeTooth, all at once.
"Yeah... You're right... That was stupid of me to ask... Good luck to you both!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that he did in fact go and nod to the both of us. Just as it was that we did in fact go and keep on walking. As it was that I did in fact go and speak back to my friend one more time, all of the sudden.
"Don't worry! TreeTooth is right! We will go on plenty of patrols soon enough!" I did in fact just seem to say to him, all at once. As it was that I did in fact just seem to do my best to stay calm as it was like so.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. That was when it was that I then began to move. As it was that I did in seem to turn my head away from him.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. I then did in fact go and hear the voice of my mother go and speak. As it was that she had a big smile on her face just as I heard what she had to say.
"Oh! My little kits have grown up so fast haven't they! HeartPaw and EchoPaw! I am so proud of you!"
