Chapter 26: Wounds (WildEyes PoV)

I stared at the junk yard that was in front of us. As the smell would not go away, as I knew it wouldn't. As I knew that I wanted to get out of here as fast as I could.
I did my best to try to keep myself as calm as I could. As I then did in fact go and look at BriarBush. As I heard our deputy speaking to us all, just as it was like so.
"Alright... We are going to have to be quick, and we are going to have to stick together... We need to get inside of there and take out as many as we can as fast as we can..." He did in fact just seem to say.
As it was that he had said as to just what he had said. That was when it was that StagHawk spoke. As he had his eyes wide just as soon as it had in fact been like so.
"Yes... These little creatures are very fast, and can cut very hard... I've been in a nasty two leg place before... I know they can hurt..." He did in fact just seem to say.
He seemed to shiver just as soon as he had said that. As I knew that he had told us the story. As to the fact that he had to get two legs to save his life, at that.
I felt like that would have traumatized me if I went through that. As I did in fact just seem to try to get my mind off of all of that. Just as it was that I then did in fact go and hear BriarBush speak like before.
"Yes... We need to watch each other's tails... If one of us gets badly hurt, we get them out as soon as we can and we abandon the mission..." He did in fact just seem to say.
As it was that he did in fact let all of us know that it was. That our lives were more important right now. Than actually winning this battle, never the less.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. I then did in fact go and nod my head back to him. As it was that I also then began to speak up as well.
"Alright... Let's get it done then..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I did in fact let him know that I did in fact want to get this started.
I looked at the others just as soon as it was the case. As I could tell that they did in fact have a lot of doubt. As to the fact that we were about to do what we needed to do.
I knew that we needed to get this done however. As I knew that we couldn't lose this battle. As I then did in fact go and shake my head to myself just as BriarBush spoke back to me.
"Alright... I've got the herbs set up back here... If anyone needs help, just yell for it!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As he did in fact go and nod his head to the herbs. That we had spent the last bit of time setting up. Just in the case that something did go bad.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case. I then did in fact go and hear IvyFur speak. As she did in fact go and let out a rough sigh just as it was like so.
"Alright... We've got this... We can do this..." She did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As she seemed to be trying to convince herself on what it was that she had said.
I blinked my eyes a few times all of the sudden. As it was that I then did in fact also go and nod. As it was that I then did in fact go and speak back to them, all at once.
"Yes... We do... Let's do this..." I did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I did in fact begin to take a few steps forward, all at once.
Just as soon as it was that I had in fact even said that. As it was that the others had their eyes wide at first. As it was that they then did in fact begin to start to follow me.
Just as it was that I had in fact also done as such a thing. I then did in fact go and hear BrairBush go and speak. As I then looked back at him, and I listened as to what he had to say.
"No WildEyes... I am the leader on this mission... Let me take the lead... This is my job... I can't risk your lives over mine..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at once.
As he did in fact remind me as to the job of the leader. As it was that I did in fact go and blink my eyes a few times at first. As I was tempted to tell him that was what I was training for.
But I stayed quiet, as I knew that StagHawk would oppose. As I then did in fact just seem to go and nod. Just as it was that I did in fact also go and speak back to him too.
"Right... Okay..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As I did in fact just seem to stop just as soon as it was that I had said that.
As it was that I then let my former mentor take the lead. Just as it was that he had said he was going to do. As I did in fact blink my eyes a few times as I let him do like so.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. That was when I then did in fact go and nod. As it was that I then did in fact go and start to speak, at that.
"We've got this..." I did in fact just seem to tell myself. As I did in fact remind myself as to the fact. That we were in fact some of the strongest cats in the clan, at that.
However, I also had a worry as to just what would happen. If we were all to die in this battle. And as to just how weak that would leave our clan, none the less.
I then shook my head as I wiped away those thoughts. Just as it was that I did in fact go and hear BriarBush go and speak up. As I looked at him and I did in fact listen as to just what it was that he had to say.
"Alright... There are just beyond that heap of trash... I can smell all of them inside... When I say go... We all need to go in together!" He did in fact just seem to say.
As it was that he did in fact go and nod his head. Over to just where it was that the heap of trash was. And as to just where it was that the nasty smell was coming from.
I felt like I was about to vomit, all at the exact same time too. But I did in fact just seem to stay strong. As it was that I did in fact go and hear StormClaw go and speak, at that.
"Together..." She did in fact just seem to say quietly to us all. As it was that she did in fact go and nod to us as well as she had said that.
I did in fact see a few rats coming in and out of the place. As I did in fact look at how nasty they looked. As I did in fact know that they were nothing like a mouse, right away.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. I then did in fact go and hear everyone else speak. As they also had their eyes wide just as we spoke back to her.
"Together..." We all did in fact just seem to say, all of the sudden. As it was that we also all seemed to nod back to each other as well.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. I then did in fact go and start to see BriarBush nod. As he then did in fact go and look back at the rats nest.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. He then did in fact squint his eyes, all at once. As he then did in fact go and yell out loud, all of the sudden.
"Alright! Now!" He did in fact just seem to say, all of the sudden. As it was that he did in fact go and burst towards the pile of trash.
As it was that he had in fact done as such a thing like that. I saw that the others did in fact not hesitate. As it was that they all did in fact seem to be right behind him.
However, I did in fact just seem to hesitate as it was like so. As I then did in fact go and blink my eyes all of the sudden. Just as it was that I did in fact also go and speak to myself, all at once, at that.
"What am I doing?! I am being a terrible leader!" I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that I then did in fact begin to start to go and sprint right behind them.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. That was when it was that I easily caught up to them. As I knew that not only was I strong, but I was also very fast.
As it was that we all did in fact go and run into the trash. I did in fact hear the screams of fear and warnings. From all of the rats that were inside of the trash, at that.
"They are coming!" It did in fact almost sound like they are saying. Almost as if it was that they had prepared for our invasion, at that.
However, it didn't seem like they had actually done like so. As it was that as we did in fact seem to go and reach inside. I saw the rats all running all over the place.
As it was that I did in fact see the others already attacking them. As I did in fact go and start to do the same thing. As it was that I did in fact hear BriarBush yell out loud.
"Everyone look for their queen! They will do their best to defend her! If we take her out we win!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time as well.
Just as it was that I did in fact seem to take a few out. As it was that I did in fact go and look around. As it was that I did in fact seem to try to go and look for her myself.
However, it seemed like it was far too chaotic in here. For me to be able to see a single thing, all at once. As it was that I did in fact go and shake my head just a little bit, as I then spoke to myself, at that.
"I... I can't..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that I did in fact just seem to simply focus on the fact that it was.
That I was taking out as many rats as I felt like I could. As it was that it did in fact just seem to be easy enough. As it was that I did in fact hear StagHawk speak, at that.
"This wasn't so hard!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that just as it was that I seemed to be right now.
It seemed like he was having a good time taking them all out. As it was that we seemed to be by each other's sides, all at once. As we did in fact seem to take them out together.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been like so. I then did in fact go and hear his mate speak. As I did in fact go and look over at IvyFur just as it was like so.
"Yes... But like BriarBush said... As soon as the queen gets control, this is going to be a whole lot harder... We need to make sure we can find her first!" She did in fact just seem to say.
As it was that she did in fact seem to warn us, all at once. Just as soon as it was that she had said as to just what she had said. As I did in fact go and blink my eyes a few times just as it was like so.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. I then did in fact go and start to look away. As it was that I did in fact go and speak to myself, all at once.
"I am just going to take out as many as I can before they do then..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time as well.
As just as soon as it was that I had in fact just said that. I then did in fact go and take a few more out. As I did in fact go and look around as I saw just how many there were.
It looked as if there was nearly a hundred rats inside. And as I did in fact just seem to feel one scratch into me, all at once. I then did in fact go and yell out loud in pain, at that.
"Ow! Damn it!" I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that I did in fact just seem to curse myself just as soon as I had said that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. I then did in fact just seem to see my mate look at me. As she did in fact seem to have a worried look on her face just as soon as it had been like so.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. I then saw her stop moving, all of the sudden. As she did in fact go and speak to me, all at the exact same time too.
"Are you okay WildEyes?!" She did in fact just seem to say. As it was that she did in fact just seem to look at me as she was scared.
As it was that I did in fact take out the rat that had hit me. I then did in fact go and look back at her myself. As it was that I then did in fact go and start to nod my head back to her as I spoke back to her.
"Yes... I am fine! Let's keep going!" I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I did in fact just seem to go and move. As it was that I did in fact go and start to focus on the fact.
That there did in fact just seem to be a lot going on. As it was that I saw that my mate was surrounded by a bunch of rats. As they seemed to realize that she had been distracted.
I then watched as they all did in fact just seem to jump at her. As she then seemed to suddenly get knocked down, all at once. Just as soon as I then did in fact go and hear her yell.
"Help! Help!" She did in fact just seem to say, all of the sudden. As it was that I could hear her yells, and hear screams of pain, all at once.
As she did in fact try to fight them off as best as she could. But it seemed like only more were getting on her. As it was that me and the others did in fact seem to go over to help.
As it was that me and StagHawk just seemed to jump on the rats. They then did in fact just seem to scurry off. As they did in fact realize they couldn't do much to fight us all.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case. That was when it was that I then began to help StormClaw up. As it was that I did in fact hear IvyFur go and speak, all at once.
"Are you okay StormClaw?" She did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As she did in fact seem to have a face full of worry and fear.
As it was that she did in fact see that she was badly hurt. As it was that I did in fact just seem to see StormClaws eyes grow wide. Just as it was that she had heard the she cat say as to just what she had said.
However, in the end, just as I knew that she didn't like IvyFur. She then did in fact go and squint her eyes. Just as she then did in fact also go and nod just as she spoke back to her.
"Yes... I'm fine! Let's keep going..." She did in fact just seem to say. As it was clear that she was in fact not at all fine what so ever.
She did in fact limp as she tried to go and move ahead. As I could see several scratches and a few wounds. As it was that me and StagHawk did in fact try to stop her.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. That was when it was that I then did in fact go and shake my head at my mate. As it was that I did in fact also go and speak back to her as it was like so.
"No StormClaw... We are taking you out of here..." I did in fact just seem to say to her, all at once. As it was that I did in fact go and nod to StagHawk just as I had said that.
He did in fact just seem to nod back to me as it was like so. As he did in fact seem to agree on the fact that I had said that. As it was clear that StormClaw did in fact not like that.
As it was that we did in fact get ready to take her out. I then did in fact go and hear BriarBush go and yell. As I did in fact go and look over to him a bit worried as well.
"I see the queen! Come on! Let's get her!" He did in fact just seem to say, all of the sudden. As it was that I did in fact just seem to start to go and look at my mentor.
As it was that he did in fact nod over to where the queen was at. As it was that the rats seemed to notice as to the fact that it was. That we had in fact all just seemed to have spotted her.
As they then did in fact all run over to try to protect her. As it was that I did in fact go and hear StagHawk go and speak. As I then listened as to just what he had to say, at that.
"We can't BriarBush! You said if one of us gets badly hurt we need to leave! StormClaw is badly hurt!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that he did in fact go and look at StormClaw. Just as soon as it was that he had in fact said that. As it was that I did in fact see BriarBush blink his eyes a few times.
However, it didn't seem like he seemed to care a single bit. As I then saw him go and shake his head back at us. As it was that he then did in fact go and speak back to us as well.
"We can't blow this chance! If we leave now, they will only get stronger!" He did in fact just seem to say. As he did in fact go and dig his claws in to the nasty dirt, at that.
As it was that he had in fact said as to just what he had said. I then did in fact go and start to have my eyes grow wide in surprise. As to the fact that he had ignored the fact that StormClaw was badly wounded.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case. That was when it was that I then did in fact shake my head back at him. As I did in fact go and speak back to him in anger.
"No BriarBush! We need to get out of hear and treat her wounds!" I did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I did in fact go and look at my mate just as I had said that.
My mate then did in fact go and look at me with her eyes wide. As it was that she saw that I was standing up for her right now. As it was that it did in fact seem to warm her heart even though she seemed to also be scared right now, at that.
As it was that she just seemed to stare at me with her eyes wide. She then did in fact also go and shake her head at me. As she then also began to start to speak back to me too.
"No... BriarBush is right... We can't ruin this chance... Go on without me..." She did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that she did in fact almost be acting like. She knew that she was going to die, all at once. And that she was in fact sacrificing herself for the entire clan, at that.
I did in fact not like to think on it that way what so ever. As it was that I did in fact go and blink my eyes just a few times at first. Just as it was that I did in fact go and hear IvyFur go and speak, at that.
"You 2 go and help BriarBush! I will take her out of here while the rats are distracted on you! Finish this!" She did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that she did in fact go and nod to me and StagHawk. As it was that she did in fact let us know that it was. That she did in fact have my mate protected, at that.
It was clear that StormClaw didn't like that what so ever. But she didn't seem to have much of a choice in it. As it was that StagHawk did in fact go and nod just as he spoke back to me.
"Alright WildEyes! Let's go and finish this!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that he then did in fact go and start to move on ahead, all at once.
I looked back at IvyFur and StormClaw one final time. As I did in fact know that I trusted IvyFur. On the fact that she would in fact take care of my mate, all at once.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been like so. I then did in fact go and nod my head to IvyFur. Just as I did in fact turn my head around and speak to myself too.
"Yes... Let's finish this..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that I did in fact go and start to run along with StagHawk.
As to just where it was that BriarBush was already at. As it was that he did in fact seem to be outnumbered by the rats. As they seemed to be cornering him in.
Until it was that we did in fact seem to come in to save the day. As it was that I did in fact go and yell out loud. Just as soon as it had in fact just been the case, at that.
"We've got you BriarBush!" I did in fact just seem to say to him. As he then did in fact go and look at us both just as soon as I had said that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. I then did in fact see his eyes grow wide, at first. As he then did in fact also blink his eyes and nod back to us.
The rats did in fact just seem to realize what was going on. But it was too late for them, as me and StagHawk did in fact start to take them down. As it was that the rats then did in fact begin to run to their queen.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case. I then did in fact go and hear BriarBush go and speak, all at once. As it was that I did in fact go and listen as to just what it was that he had to say.
"Let's get her! Now!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too, all at once. As it was that he did in fact go and run right at the queen just as he had said that.
I did in fact hear the squeaks and the squeals of the rats. Just as it was that we did in fact run right at them. As it was that they did in fact seem to realize their fate was.
Just as it was that BriarBush did in fact seem to run right in. And just as it was that me and StagHawk. Did in fact take out the ones on the side that couldn't defend their queen.
That was when it was that I then did in fact go and smile. As it was that I did in fact finish off a couple more rats. Just as it was that I then did in fact go and speak to myself, at that.
"This feels... So good..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that I did in fact feel quite a bit guilty just as soon as I had said that.
As it was that I knew that whilst these were not cats. I knew that they were in fact still living creatures. As we weren't even killing them to use them as prey, at that.
As it was that I did in fact seem to take down a few more. I then did in fact go and start to see the rest run off. As I did in fact speak out loud confused, just as it was like so.
"Huh? Where are they going?!" I did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I was tempted to chase a few of them down, all at once.
But I did in fact know that I couldn't do as like so. As I knew that there was too many running away. As I was not all too sure as to just why it was in fact the case, all at once.
Just as soon as I did in fact seem to get ready to move still. I then did in fact go and hear the voice of BriarBush. As he had a rough voice just as I did in fact go and listen as to just what it was that he had to say.
"The queen is dead... The rest of them are fleeing..." He did in fact just seem to say to me, all at once. As it was that he did in fact let out a rough sigh of relief just as it was like so.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. That was when it was that I heard StagHawk speak. As he seemed to also have a bit of some blood lust as I then listened as to just what he had to say.
"Shouldn't we go and track them down and finish them off? That way they don't regroup and rebuild?" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I did in fact seem to agree with the tom cat for once. As I then did in fact go and turn my head away. Just as it was that I dug my claws in to the dirt to get ready to rush.
However, I saw BriarBush go and shake his head, at that. As it was that he did in fact also let out a rough sigh. Just as he did in fact go and speak back to us, at that.
"No... Their queen is gone, eventually they will all die... It's over now... Now we need to head back, and tend to our wounds..."
