Soul Tied [Neteyam x Aonung]

Tulkuns Return

Aonung went home late that night.

Stumbling into his mauri and onto his bed.

He was knocked out before he hit the pillow.

He awoke the next morning to his sister yelling.

"Come on Brother our spirit siblings are here"she yelled excitedly.

"Already? It's so early" Aonung said, sitting straight up in his bed, rubbing his eyes tiredly.

"Yeah, dad seen first sight of them. Come on" Tsireya said, rushing over to Aonung, grabbing his arm and dragging him out.

"I'm coming, im coming" he said "I'm going to go get Neteyam" he added as they exited the mauri.

"Go get your boyfriend" Tsireya laughed, waving him goodbye, as she jumped into the water, onto her ilu.

Neteyam was already up and so was his family.

They were all sat, having breakfast that Neteyam cooked.

When there was shouting coming from outside the mauri.

"Everyone our brothers and sister have returned" someone called

The sully family gathered outside their mauri, only to see a whole pod of Tulkuns swimming into the reef.

"Dad can I go? There's Tsireya" Loak asked, rushing to the edge, waiting for the answer.

"Of course son, go go" Jake smiled as his son jumped into the water, swimming to Tsireya, off to find her spirit sister.

Jake, Neytiri, Kiri and Tuk shortly followed, getting on their ilus and making their way to the crowed sea.

Neteyam stayed back, nervousness spreading through his whole body.

What if he didn't find a tulkun that liked him?

What if he just swam there all day doing nothing?

He would be a disappointment to Ronal and the clan.

His thoughts were interrupted when a hand rested on his shoulder gently.

"You ready my love" it was Aonung, his smiled was wide, and his eyes were lit up with excitement.

"I think so" Neteyam replied.

Aonung lent in for a small kiss, and Neteyam returned it.

"Come on, let's go find my spirit brother" Aonung said, grabbing Neteyams hand leading him to the edge.

The boys both got on Aonungs ilu, making their way out to find Aonungs spirit brother.

They glided under the water slowly.

Taking in the many creatures and Navi swimming around them.

Until Aonung caught sight of a familiar creature.

"There he is" he signed excitedly to Neteyam.

Both jumping off the ilu, swimming over to the creature, who was chirping like mad at them.

Aonung rushed to him, wrapping is arms around the creatures eye.

The two had a moment together, as Neteyam watched peacefully.

His boyfriend look so happy to be reunited with his spirit brother.

After a while Aonung pulled away, swimming over to Neteyam, grabbing his hand, dragging him over to the creature.

"Neteyam this is Inui (e-new-e) my Spirit brother" he signed to Neteyam "Inui this is Neteyam, my boyfriend" he signed to the tulkun.

Inui squealed in response, and somehow Neteyam knew what he was saying.

"Nice to meet you Neteyam" Inui squeaked.

"Nice to meet you Inui" Neteyam signed back, receiving another heartened squeak back.

Aonung and Neteyam sat on Inui's fin as he floated to the surface.

Hidden by the Tulkuns large figure, Aonung lent into kiss Neteyam gently. Neteyam happily returned the kiss.

Inui squealed again in excitement.

"Nung, this is time for you and your brother" Neteyam giggled as Aonung kissed his neck.

"I know, but you're apart of my life and Inui is to know that too" Aonung replied smiling.

"We can do this later Nung, talk to him" Neteyam said. Not wanting it to stop but then also not wanting Aonung to miss out on precious time he had with his brother.

"Okay" Aonung whined, and Inui squealed.

The three of them sat talking for a while.

Aonung updated Inui on everything new that had happened in the last two years since they had seen each other last.

His mother's pregnancy, the Sullys joining their clan, how he met Neteyam.

Everything.

Inui also updated Aonung on his life since their last meeting.

All the journeys he had been on, the places he'd been in the last two years.

As the three of them talked, mostly Aonung and Inui, Neteyam noticed there was one lone Tulkun that kept hanging around them.

"Where's their sibling?" Neteyam asked, feeling bad for the creature.

"They must not have one yet. Go talk to them" Aonung said excitedly, practically pushing Neteyam off Inui's fin, over to the tulkun.

"Okay, okay" Neteyam laughed, swimming over to the creature.

"You got this Teyam" Aonung called excitedly, smiling as he watched his boyfriend swim to the creature.
