The next few days were...interesting

I think Feyre found it nice to have us around too. Cas was her new biggest fan, although he kept asking about Az, when he was coming home, and I didn't have an answer for him. Hopefully by the end of the week.

The shadows were getting...restless let's say. Constantly teasing and seducing me when I was alone and I wondered if it was Az, or it was them. Or me. I don't know. I kept telling them to knock it off, it didn't feel right, doing anything without Az. But we didn't have long now. Only a few more days, hopefully.

"Fucking hell" I panted, clutching the sink as my back curled forward, shadows circling my clit slowly. They'd been doing that for the last hour, slowly working me up despite trying to wave them off.

And now I was desperate to cum, and they were taking too long.

"please" I begged quietly, knowing I wasn't alone in this house, and with fae ears about I needed to be quiet. "Tell Az if this is his doing, he's a cruel bastard" I hissed to them and I don't know if it was my lover, or they heard the desperation in me, but they sped up and I covered my mouth as my eyes rolled, head digging into the ceramic as I shuddered through my orgasm.

Naughty little things. "Tell him I hope they're okay. And to keep safe and that I miss him" a stroke to my cheek was my only comfort and I sighed, cleaning myself up before heading back outside.

"You okay?" Feyre lifted her eyes from her book, looking over my dishevelled state with a smirk.

"fuck off" I collapsed onto the sofa, shadows flickering over my shoulders as she laughed at me.

"he must miss you greatly if his shadows are the way they are" she stated and I hummed, looking over at her.

"Rhys doesn't do similar stuff to you?" she shot me a look and I smirked, interested. "oh? What sort of stuff do you two get up to?"

"the usual stuff, we fuck in our heads, down the bond" I shook my head at her candour, crinkling my nose a little. "you asked!"

"well forget it. too much information"

"like you and Az are subtle" she countered and I couldn't argue there.

The problem came when I was at work, 3 days later.

It was quiet in the shop so the deafening crack that sounded throughout the city had me out of the door in seconds. Others joining me as we stood in the street, looking at the sky. The wards, they were cracking. And on the other side, winged monsters from hell.

"Everyone get inside!" I shouted before running back into the shop for my sword. I heard the shatter, cursing as the shadows clung to me. "Inside now! Barricade yourselves in!"

I needed to get to Feyre. Cas was safe at school, there were separate wards there.

Screams sounded around me and I got my first close up of the winged things, eyes deadly, sharp teeth. I headed straight for it, ducking its claw as I slid through it's legs, running my blade across it's back and it howled in pain, people scrambling for safety around us. The next slice had it's head rolling on the ground separate from it's body.

I got through 5 more of them before I found her, artists corner with her sword brandished, eyes blazing as ice shot through one of the creatures, killing it.

"Anything from Rhys?" I asked and she shook her head, panic flicking across her face and I put a hand on her shoulder. "We get everyone to the school, the wards are stronger there, and they have a basement. We kill any of those shits we see and hopefully the boys get in contact"

"Let's do it" we nodded before setting through the city, opposite sides. The fact she hadn't heard from Rhys had my blood pumping in fear. I had to pray they were okay, pray Az was okay.

"Find him" I told the shadows "go to him and find him" they lingered reluctantly before I shooed them, watching them rush away. "Cauldron help us"

My legs sprinted through the streets, where I had collected this very sword, finding the blacksmith stood over one of the dead creatures.

"You need to head to the school" I called as I passed, keeping an eye on the sky.

Screams sounded and I tore through the houses, seeing one of the creatures biting down on a man's arm and throwing myself at it with a yell of fury. We tumbled to the ground, and it screeched like a banshee as it clawed at me, the two of us struggling for power and I gritted my teeth as I felt its nails dig into my arm. I kicked it hard, sending it flying from me across the cobbles as I grabbed my sword, stabbing it through the chest before it could get up.

"Get to the school" I instructed, tearing the bottom of my skirt, and wrapping it around my arm where blood wept from my skin.

I made my way onwards, checking each house as I went.

Feyre?

I'm here, you doing okay?

Making my way past the bakery now, are you?

I'm at the school, keeping the wards protected.

I'll do a final check and make-

I cried out as something slammed into me, bones hitting the floor as we skidded across the floor. The creature screamed at me and I fought to reach my sword, flinching as I felt it's teeth sink into my leg, crying out in pain. I used my other leg to kick at it, forcing it back and I crawled over to my sword, fingers grazing the handle before I was dragged back towards the demon. I didn't wait, digging my fingers into it's wings enough to make it bleed and it slashed at me. My fist slammed into it's face and I flipped us, using my weight to keep it down as I bashed it's head against the pavement, feeling it's blood spray at my face until it stopped moving.

I panted, getting to my feet and picking up my sword with a groan. Cauldron that burned.

There was pressure in my head, and I realised that Feyre was panicking at me, I tried to send soothing things through my mind to relax her.

Focus Feyre, protect them.

Get here now.

Working on it.

I hobbled towards the school, dull aches running through my body and my leg burned with each step. Watching for movement in the houses just in case.

I could see the school and my blood practically froze, there was at least 6 of them trying to get through Feyre's added wards and I could see her stood there, face straining with effort. She couldn't hold it for long.

"Hey!" I shouted at them, readying my sword as their heads turned my way, seeing Feyre's eyes widen in horror. "Come on then you bastards" I spat, and they advanced.

I flipped my sword, slicing the first one's head off easily whilst the rest advanced. It was a hard fight, I think I caught 2 of them before the next one got me, and I had to ditch my sword, using a barrel to launch myself onto its back, twisting its neck until I heard it crack and falling to the floor with it. Now I was stuck with these two, we were stuck in a stalemate, the three of us watching each other before I leapt for my sword, catching the wings of one as the other hit me into a building.

"Cauldron you fuckers are really testing me" I spit the blood from my mouth before dodging another blow, slamming a plant pot into its head and it reeled back. I used a pole to bat straight into the other one's face, not having time to watch it crumple to the ground as I joust it into the last one's chest. It gurgled before slumping and I clutched at my side, pain ebbing through me.

"Alex!" Feyre screams came into focus, and Ilooked over only to see the shadow hurling towards me and I lifted my arms toprotect myself.
