She closed her eyes. The sound of the rain and her Clanmates around her vanished and she was in darkness. Comforting darkness. She could see the starry form of Foxclaw in front of her, his warm amber eyes gleaming. "Foxclaw!" she cried, running up to him, only to walk through nothing. She stepped back, her sadness returning, and she met Foxclaw's sad gaze.
"Thank you for bringing me back to the camp," Foxclaw murmured. "Now my mother and my littermates know."
"Foxclaw," Dovesong mewed, choking slightly on the single word. "I forgot to tell you that I forgive you. I was so caught up in trying to make up for my mistakes that I didn't realize how much I love you. I really do love you. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
