Crowley let out a sigh as he placed another sheet of paper on top of the growing pile, feeling his back grow sore from how long he had been sitting. He placed his pen down on the dark polished desk and stood up, stretching his arms as he looked around his office. The chandelier hung high in the ceiling, illuminating the room in a cool glow. Purple curtains covered the windows, decorated with green star and moon symbols, and a royal purple carpet stretched from the headmage's desk to the entrance. Floating in the air, seven portraits rested behind the desk depicting the Great Seven, each giving a harsh glare forward to anyone who managed to lock eyes with them. Large windows decorated the walls, giving access to the outside world. Crowley looked out of these windows and gently ran a golden clawed finger over the glass, seeing how it wasn't as clean as the windows in the cafeteria. Deep in Crowley's mind, he wondered if (Y/N) would mind washing them if they weren't too upset about going to get a magestone.
His thoughts were soon interrupted by the office door slamming open, the familiar group of troublemakers limping in with a magestone in hand, injuries littered over their forms. His eyes widened in concern at the state of the group before focusing in on the magestone in Ace's hold.
"There, we got the magestone," Ace announced as he limped over and placed the gem on the headmage's desk. Everyone followed behind closely, finally ready to get this task finished. Grim's paw clutched onto (Y/N)'s cloak as he held back a yawn, the adrenaline wearing off and just pain and tiredness remaining. The vessel looked down at him and let go of their wound for a moment to pat his head a little, their other hand held onto their nail as they used it to help stand.
"Pardon?! You're telling me you actually went to the Dwarfs' Mine in search of a magestone?" Crowley asked as he stared at the group, not quite believing what he was hearing. He didn't know that there was still a magestone in the mines and thought that the group would've given up sooner. He didn't think that they would actually succeed.
"Uh, yeah?" Deuce and Ace said in unison, unsure about why he was questioning it.
"I didn't expect that you'd seriously do it," Crowley said as he scratched his head under his hat. "And never in my wildest imaginings did I think you would actually return with a magestone! And here I spent all evening preparing your expulsion documents."
"Are you serious?! While we were fightin' some crazy monster for you, you were expelling us?!" Grim shouted as he gently stomped his foot on the ground, catching Crowley's attention. "We almost died and (Y/N) got really hurt!"
"'Monster'...?" He then turned to the rest for an explanation, though he sent a worried glance to the vessel.
"Yeah. There was a monster, all right. A big, nasty one. It nearly killed us!" Ace told him as he slammed his hand down on the desk, trying not to wince from the impact. Everyone was in pain and probably needed to go to a nurse or something, but Crowley wanted to get the full story out first.
