"After her!" Furious cries from men echoed through a futuristic hall. A stampede, people clad in black, with machine guns in their arms and rifles, ran through a pure white hall that reflected the ceiling lights.

Grappling hooks shot up to the beams where a glass dome in the ceiling exposed the night sky and its bright moon. Men with sniper rifles were reeled to the top to survey the area, as others with machine guns and pistols either leaped over silver rails to a lower platform or ran down escalators.

No thanks to their movements, the sounds of high heels were hard to hear when a curly redhead sprinted into a different room and made it automatically shut from behind. The heavy breaths and tiny whimpers of fear were hard to control when the redhead hid in the shadows of the room, their back pressed against the wall close to the door.

The entire building was in lock-down, most lights flickered on and off as they searched the floors. Every citizen had run out, thanks to their generosity in guiding them and clearing the place. A large office desk at the entrance of the large, glass, double doors, proved how far into the future they were since it floated an inch above the ground and pulsed faint blue light.

"Where did she go?!" One soldier questioned among the crowd of pursuers. From side to side, they aimed their guns and directed their laser pointers whenever they would see a quick flash of white.

"There!" Quickly, rapid bullets smashed through windows into another room and made shards of glass spray around the pane and on the glossy floor. None of them hesitated to jump over the broken pane and give chase, for they thought the flash was their target.

"Boys-- don't let her escape! Find her!" A much deeper voice reached the said woman whose arms held onto a document against her chest. Panting, she began to take deep breaths to calm her frenzied heart and giggled.

"Good. They fell for my illusion!~" Her whispers were a little loud as her blue eyes peeked around the edge of a window to her other side and adjusted her circular glasses. The darkness in the room made it difficult to see, save for the faint light through the door and the window she looked through. In one hand was a tiny mirror, which she lifted and reflected the lights out to the main lobby to cast another white flash.

"There!" She heard the men yell and sprint into another room.

She couldn't help but laugh and reach into her pocket. There was a tiny recording device that she took from her office and brought to her lips. "Dr. Amelia Ray, here.~ Updating my progress! They thought they could keep me here and treat me like a guinea pig after all the years I've spent with them and helping them with Project B. Project A had failed and resorted to the next best option, but when they realized they needed more than just blood samples or live subjects, they found out about my little secret. They've run tests on me, experiments, but I'm not going to just sit by and let them continue! So far-- I've made some progress in my escape plan," She paused for a moment to stay quiet and watched through the window as others ran past.
