Chapter 27: Angel!

My baby... My baby. He finished my baby! Why would he do that?! She was mine to complete! But... My name was engraved in the ownership drive deep inside her AI hardware. If I can find a good moment to activate 'Code Blue', I can reset the ownership and control over her. Amelia pondered as she watched everything rush past her amid Mesogog's sprint. They had landed in the middle of the street in the world of SPD, but her blue hues never left the white ones from A.O.D, who she saw walk calmly in their direction.

"What is it made of and how does it function?" Mesogog's question filled her ears as they raced past vehicles. "It does not look to be made of the same material," When she saw A.O.D. increase her walk speed the more distance they gained, a frown tugged on her lips.

"She's made from Nano Technology! The only way to defeat her is through an EMP wave! But I have a plan and it will work! Trust me on this! I know you listened to my recordings, so I'm sure you know I engraved my name into her AI as a backup to reset her ownership!" A jolt from Mesogog's movement, when he jumped on top of a tall vehicle and leaped toward a rooftop, made her head jerk. "Ow, careful!" The grunt that fell from her lips went ignored when she felt his head turn to look over his shoulder. There she saw his jaw slack, surprised to see A.O.D's spider-like arms protrude from her back and fan out to the sides. The speed at which they flailed made A.O.D. take to the sky and fly in their direction.

"It can fly?" Almost speechless, Mesogog crouched to avoid the robot when she tried to tackle them. He spent no more time dawdling about to observe, for he sped his way across the rooftop and went over gaps in between.

"Yes... She can. She's not a Cyborg. I created A.O.D. as a means of defense and to aid. She has a powerful AI capable of piecing together different tactical approaches and combat! Her fighting style changes to keep the upper hand on her opponents. I made her that way so if any enemy is against her, she could counteract and properly protect! But to see my baby being used like this... I... I can't! Please! We need to change her ownership!" The need to cry over her baby made her throat tighten. She created her, she gave her all into creating her design, how she is supposed to move and behave, but to see her aggression tore Amelia's heart apart.

"How, without her kidnapping you in the process?" Fury made the beast growl, for she watched him leap over another gap and avoid the many limbs from A.O.D's backside.

"Go to the SPD base! I know what I need to do. A.O.D, no matter how she was reprogrammed, nothing will change her calculative AI. She won't attack innocent individuals, even if they get in our way. Other people aren't her priority! Her focus is solely on her task-- to take me back... So, if I'm surrounded by others, she won't make a move until I'm by myself!" Explained the redhead, as she covered her head to avoid her baby's robotic hands that flew past her.

"Then why is she trying to take you now? I am with you," Dr. Ray could hear the irritability in his words. However, she squeaked when he fell over the edge of a rooftop and landed near a crowded sidewalk. People screamed and ran away at the sight of them and A.O.D. who blindingly sped past to reach them.

"Because! I am still vulnerable to her grab attempts! Haven't you noticed she's flying and trying to snatch me from your shoulder? It's a high percentage of success in her eyes with only one person around me, for her to grab me," That was one of the reasons why she hadn't thrown any of her bombs yet because she knew there was no need to. As long as she ducked, dodged, and avoided her grabs, she'd be fine.
