The body that was found in the woods was Lydia's body. It appeared that she overdosed on pills. She was just barely hanging onto life and has spent the past two weeks laying in a hospital bed because of a coma. When she overdosed on her pills, she fell onto the ground and hit her head on a rock. It was clear that there was bad damage done to her.

Stiles blamed himself. He should've been there for her. He should've done everything in his power to make sure that she was stable. He remembered, or barely remembered, that when he was in a coma Lydia told him that she was on and off with taking her pills. Stiles thought that he should've taken better care to her or went to greater lengths to protect her.

What made matters worse was that he wasn't allowed to see Lydia. Only family could see her because of the condition that she's in. So far, Lydia's shitty mother only came to see her twice. Lydia's mother saw her once each week. When Mrs. Martin did come, she didn't look the least bit sad or concerned. She sat at Lydia's bedside for a few hours before leaving. Stiles couldn't help but dislike the woman. She was a terrible mother to Lydia and still is.

"Is she okay?" A voice asked, breaking Stiles from his thoughts. He looked up and saw Allison. She looked tired and had a concerned look on her face. Stiles looked at his phone. It was a little bit past midnight. Why was Allison here?

Stiles shrugged. "I don't know. I'm not allowed to see her."

Allison sat down next to Stiles and stared at the ground. "She use to be my best friend."

That surprised Stiles. He never thought that Lydia and Allison could be friends or let alone were friends. "Use to?"

"Yeah, I kind of called her crazy and walked out of her life." Allison said. "Explaining the story is just going to make me feel more bad."

"How did you find out about this?" Stiles then asked.

"I ran into your father a couple hours ago at the graveyard." Allison said in a whisper. "He was leaving flowers-"

"For my mom." Stiles finished. "Were you visiting Scott?"

"I couldn't sleep so I decided to go talk to Scott."

"You saw my father a couple hours ago? Why weren't you here earlier?"

"Because I was crying since how ashamed of myself that I am for not being there for Lydia. I needed to get myself together before coming here." Allison explained, "God, I need to see her."

"That makes two of us." Stiles replied.

"How did she?" Allison asked, "How did this happen?"

Stiles sighed. He hated explaining this story. It only made him more heartbroken. "She was walking through the woods and swallowed and handful of pills. She would be awake right now, but as she fell onto the ground she hit her head on a rock. A couple of hikers found her."

"That's terrible." Allison replied and wiped tears away from her eyes, "First Scott and now Lydia."

Allison's statement hit Stiles hard. He realized how many people in his life that he's lost. His mother, Scott, and now Lydia. Everyone in his life leaves him. It felt like he had no one left. His life was just filled with regret, sadness, and loss. He wondered if the pain was ever going to stop. "I just wish I got to at least say something to her before all this happened, you know?" Stiles said to Allison, "The very last words I said to her was that I loved her but I just wish that I would've known-"

"Stiles, stop beating yourself up for this. You blame yourself for you mothers death, for Scott's death, and now you're blaming yourself for what's happening to Lydia. This is human life, okay? You couldn't have saved your mother, you sure as hell couldn't have saved Scott, and you couldn't saved Lydia from herself. Some people just can't be saved because they're too far gone."

"But it's not fair!" Stiles yelled and slammed his fist against the table in front of them. He slowly pulled his hand back and sighed, "Everyone leaves me."

"You still have a family, Stiles. You still have people who care about you." Allison said, attempting to comfort Stiles.

"I don't know how much longer I can take this." Stiles said and stood up. He looked at Lydia's hospital room and saw her body laying there. Stiles wondered if that's how Lydia felt when he was in the hospital.

"Stiles." His father said, "Are you okay?"

"No." Stiles replied. "I don't think I'll ever be okay until Lydia wakes up."

"You need to get some rest. I will personally drag you to your bedroom to go to sleep if I have to." His father demanded and Stiles shook his head.

"No, I'm not leaving. Lydia didn't leave when I was in a coma and I am not abandoning her."

"You really love her, don't you?" The Sheriff asked his son.

"More than anything." Stiles assured.

The room to Lydia's door opened. A doctor and three nurses walked out with dismal looks on their faces. "Are you all here for Lydia Martin?" The doctor asked.

"Yes." Everyone said at the same time and stood up.

"Why? Is she okay?" Stiles asked and took a few steps forward.

"I am truly sorry to inform you of this, but Lydia Martin has died." The Doctor informed.

At that moment, Stiles felt like his whole world came crashing down.
