" What do you mean you don't have room?"
You were in front of a two-story house that contained a loud commotion of monster children inside. The elderly goat sighs her eyes weary from exhaustion.
" We are already over populated, and we don't even have the supplies to compensate for the students we have. It really is terrible."
" You're the only school that'll accept monsters around here. Please. There has to be something you can do..."
She shakes her head once more before excusing herself. Defeated, you find yourself walking the streets thinking about the boys fending for their selves alone at home. The worry was enough to put a little pep in your step, but their future disappointment finds a way in slowing you down again. It begins to rain completing the mood, but it also was.. uplifting? You stand there a second and face the stormy clouds as the droplets sprinkled your hair and run down your face. You were determined to find some kind of education for those boys even if it means it'll come out of your pay.
You were walking down an alleyway when.. you felt as if someone was watching you. You whipped around to see nobody, so you merely label it off as paranoia. When you turn back around, you stopped dead in your tracks nearly bumping into a three headed monster. He loomed over you by a couple of feet his muscles bulging from his suit. He was hairless dog humanoid, and his skin was as grey as the storm clouds above your head. His gaze flared a dark red as he looks deep within your own. He leans over with intimidation in mind, and you narrowed your eyes not very accepting of it.
" I believe you have my son."
" Your son?"
You say it without even thinking, but you don't regret your words.
He speaks through grit teeth.
" Yes. My son."
You sighed knowing you can't deny him if it's the truth.
" You're Roman's father then..."
" That is his name? I would of thought his mother would of been more... unique."
Now that pisses you off.
" I like his name, and you should too."
He sighs as if he was dealing with a child though... there was something about you he didn't understand. The power that radiated off of you wasn't to be expected making him ponder with what you were. He brushes it off as nothing as he demands to see his son.
" Follow me."
" There's no need."
He places a hand on your shoulder his touch knocking the breath out of you and forcing you to close your eyes. When the pressure lessened, you looked around to find yourself in front of your home, and it dawns on you how easily he could of taken Roman beneath your nose. Why did he bother even to come get you? For yours or Roman's sake? You almost wished he had let you be for you don't think your heart will be able to take seeing Roman go. You called out his name your voice cracking, and this character stays at the door with this nonchalant manner of his. Roman walks out with the innocence of a child, but he freezes at the sight of a monster.
" You will be leaving with me-."
" No. He won't unless I'm given some proof. For all I know, you might sell him for a profit. How did you even find him?"
" I sense him from the Underworld. I shouldn't have to prove myself when he's my child."
You go a bit quiet taking a step back as if guarding Roman from the stranger. Was.. Was he insane? You should of never brought him here. He rolls his mind as he thinks for a moment.
