chapter 19

~ Nick's POV ~ 

Charlie and i are cuddling on the couch and he's laying on my chest and i can tell he's dozing off. It's been a tough day but i'm glad the day ends like this. Charlie cuddling on my chest and me playing with his hair. 

"Char should we go upstairs and get ready for bed?" "hmm yeah" we go upstairs to our room and i wrap Charlie in my arms and snuggle into his shoulder. "i love you" "i love you Nick, how do you feel?" "anxious but that should go away soon hopefully" i sigh out. "it should be yes" Charlie assures me.

"I'm going to see if Luna wants to talk about what happened tonight, should we go together?" "i'm just washing my face really quick i'll be there in a sec" Charlie says and i leave him to do his routine while i go and knock on Luna's door. 

I wait for a response before i go in, but i don't get any. I knock again and this time a little louder but there's still no response. I slowly go in thinking she might be sleeping, but her lights are on and she's not in her bed. "Luna??" i ask, wondering where she is. There's still no response and my anxiety rises.

I slowly walk into her bathroom and then i see her passed out on the floor while her wrist is bleeding and i completely panic right away. "CHAR!!!" i scream out in panic and Charlie comes rushing into the room and then he sees me and Luna. "Fuck! w-wait... Here!" Charlie panics too and he hands me a towel to hold on her wrist. It's not bleeding uncontrollably, thank god, but it's still bleeding pretty bad.

I try waking up Luna, but she's unresponsive and still passed out. "I- C-Char.. w-we need an amb-bulance" i stutter out, tears starting to form in my eyes. I'm so scared, Luna needs to be okay. "Nick breathe, we've been through this a lot and it always turned out okay again. I'm calling an ambulance right now okay? It's going to be okay, deep breaths" Charlie comforts me while quickly calling an ambulance.

All of the sudden Luna squints her eyes a little as if she's waking up. "Hey Lun can you hear me?" i try to ask in the calmest voice i can manage to get out, even though i'm stressed as hell. Luna lets out a 'mhm' and flickers her eyes open and looks at me confused. She looks around the room and i can tell by her face expression that she's in pain. I can see her eyes slowly closing again "no Lun stay with us please" i try but her eyes are already closed and she's unresponsive again. 

"Char! When are they coming?!" i yell down the stairs. "1 minute!" he yells back from the hallway. These were the longest 5 minutes of my life, but i can finally take a deep breath when i hear Charlie open the door for the paramedics. I can hear them rushing upstairs together and i hope they can help Luna in time.

"Hi my name is Brandon and this is my colleague Olivia. Can we get to her?" i nod my head while moving out of the way. They do all these tests on Luna, checking her heartrate and oxygen and then they give her an oxygen mask. "Her oxygen is a little low and her heartrate is pretty high so we're giving her an oxygen mask to help slow down her heart." Olivia explains to Charlie and i and i appreciate it. 

"The cuts are pretty deep and she lost a lot of blood so we're taking her to the hospital to stitch up her cuts and keep an eye on her for the night. Who wants to drive with?" Brandon explains and then asks Charlie and i. "You go" Charlie nods to me "i dont want you driving in this state of anxiety, i'll drive behind you guys" Charlie says and i appreciate him doing that for me. Brandon and Olivia get Luna in the ambulance and i drive with, trying to keep breathing.
